Didn't like feeling like I'd drowned the shower, it was a wet room, but then didn't know how to dry up the rest of the water to not keep getting wet feet

Owners were welcoming, nice lounge space to sit in, kitchen facilities were lovely and breakfast provided was great!

The room was spacious and the bed was comfortable. There was a nice common area as well where got to hang out with some fellow travelers.

Room was small and felt a bit cramped. However, we had to communal kitchen/lounge area to ourselves which gave us more room. Shower door allowed water underneath to soak the floor near the toilet.

Location and proximity to harbour and restaurants. Communal kitchen. Comfortable bed.

Bed maybe a bit big for the room and the TV hard to view from all areas but otherwise really good.

Beautifully presented rooms and lodge in a quiet neighbourhood with beautiful views over the bay. Our room was on the first floor with a balcony, overlooking the heated pool and spa pool. Breakfast was included and served in the communal kitchen.

The hosts didn't introduce themselves by name. They were very business-like in showing everything to us but they could have been warmer.

Lovely property & decor. A good breakfast set out beautifully. Our room was advertised as 'compact'. It was very cimfortable and bigger than expected with ensuite.

Enjoyable overnight stay. Comfy bed. Lots of goodies in the fridge. Beautiful view. Very hospitable host and lovely breakfast.

Our room was lovely, beautiful views. The shared kitchen/dining/lounge area was tastefully decorated and well equipped. We absolutely loved the swimming pool and spa pool, especially at night when the fairy lights were on. Glenda and Bob were very welcoming and spoiled us with little extra's like chocolates, wine and beach towels.

While it was not what I had been expecting it provided what I needed a bed for the night.

Having had my ferry sailing altered I needed to arrange last minute accommodation in Picton. There was little available. The room was comfortable but had no view other than into a carport/work area. One advantage was breakfast was provided.

we wanted to keep the large window open to let air circulate( 3 of us in the room) but the net curtain didn’t reach the floor. we had quite a few moths in the room.

really friendly welcome. great breakfast in a communal lounge downstairs- able to have this really early as going on an early trip. lovely pool. comfy bed. lots of chocolates provided( Christmas)

It wasn’t quite what we were expecting, more bed and breakfast than motel/hotel. Our studio queen room was off the communal living space. The private bathroom was located on the other side of entry hall from bedroom but the main entry door into our studio only locked from inside (so when you leave bathroom and hall are not locked). The key we were given to lock the bedroom locked the knob but you could still just push open the door, so not really secure. Not much of an issue since the location is outside of town and not like people will just be wandering in but as main door to communal space is kept unlocked I would have still preferred being able to securely lock it. The bathroom was wet room style, which I’m not as fond of, and while clean had a musty scent.

Host was friendly and provided breakfast. The room worked for our purposes as a place to stay before taking ferry to Wellington. Other rooms upstairs at Lodge seemed more private and better for an extended stay.
