Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaKnowing abut the four kilometer walk to reach Machu Pichu sooner, and that it was far from level. Difficult for an 84 year old woman in excellent condition but for some problems with high altitude. My family would not let me walk back so took train to Ollantaytambo. However, I loved the place and would return if I had the opportunity. Bryan who drove us many places was absolutely incredible.

CanadaThe ten hour drive to get there from Cusco was torturous. I didn't like how much I was charged to go places but with no other options I had to take what was offered.
If I had been more aware of the logistical nightmare of getting to this place I probably wouldn't have chosen it, but I treated it like an adventure and gained some great memories and insights from the experience. The hacienda is quite remote, you can't really walk anywhere from here, so expect to pay a taxi if you want to go to any of the nearby towns. I went to the Cocalmayo thermal springs by taxi and felt I was overcharged because I was a foreigner. That being said, the family treated me very well and the property was amazing. Filomena made me the most delicious breakfasts and dinners, and the family's youngest son, Yerson, took me on a guided tour of their plantation and helped navigate the language barrier. They went out of their way to make me feel welcomed and even helped me with a train and ticket to Machu Picchu on short notice. Best coffee of all time grown right on their property. Worth a stay for sure!

United States of Americait’s a family-run hacienda in the tranquil valley surrounded by the gorgeous mountains. Abuela Filamena makes good breakfast, with coffee of their own harvest, and fresh fruit from their garden that has papaya, lima, avocado, bananas, coffee, passion fruit, gwanabana; abuelo Agusto serves and cleans, both always smiling. We saw the coffee cleaning / drying process - the machine is right there, on the landing. amazing. The natural spring pool is clean and cold. Cocalmayo Hot Springs are a 20-min taxi ride (50 soles), and they’ll help you get it. Oh, four cute dogs launch around keeping you safe. we loved it there.

United States of AmericaStaying with Roger and his family was a highlight of our time in Peru! The Hacienda was so peaceful and even though we don't speak Spanish and had a little harder time communicating with the family, we could still feel the love and warmth from them. I also had the best 2 nights of sleep there out of our entire 2 weeks in Peru because of the environment. Roger was very helpful with arranging a car to take us from Cusco to the house and although it took longer than the train, it ended up being approx. the same price as the train plus we got to make some stops along the way and see the beautiful countryside. Joel was the driver and he was very safe. I was hesitant to stay here because it was farther from our visit to Macchu Picchu and I was concerned about the logistics of getting there. BUT Roger was extremely helpful in facilitating all of that for us and made it easy. I initially was being stubborn and tried to arrange everything myself...if you're in that boat, do yourself a favor and just go with him booking the car for you from Cusco to the Hacienda. He went above and beyond helping me book tickets for the train and arranging transportation from Cusco. It was well worth it and he did way more than most would help with. COFFEE!! The food and coffee was so incredibly fresh and having his dad Ramon teach us how to make it early in the morning was one of my favorite experiences in Peru. Well worth the extra distance it was from Aguas Calientes and a memorable experience. Highly recommend staying here!

Germany-location is difficult to reach with bad streets if you come by private car (better get a 4x4 because the streets are the worst we ever drove and it's not really in Santa Teresa, but next to it (other 30 min ride extra and we did not know very well how to get there and had to ask in the village because Google maps does not show the way) -right now they have no wifi (but if you have a peruvian SIM there is a good connection) -we waited pretty long for food (1,5hours for the dinner) and drinks (30 minutes for coffee/coke/pisco)
-very beautiful place, lovely pool area -really close to estación hidroeletrica, if you wanna walk to macchu pichu -very nice and helpful staff - super nice family -Ramon is always available via Whatsapp/Phone
