We felt at home in this wonderful property for four days. We ate most of our meals in the restaurant, enjoyed the room, lobby and the view, took advantage of the wonderful spa. The staff was very attentive.

The bed was a bit uncomfortable, is a little to far from the center of the city about 5 long really long blocks, bring your own hair dryer!

The room isn’t equipped with sound proof that I could hear everything from the next door, even the noise from traffic as it’s located right in the main road, and when I closed the balcony properly the room become so stuffy with no fresh air or conditioner

There was no WiFi available for over 48 hours, which made it difficult for us to plan our travels. We were disappointed by the lack of communication from the hotel management regarding this issue. We like to walk but the location of the hotel was a bit far from Plaza de Armas, especially if you intended to visit multiple times in a day. Moreover, whenever we left the hotel, we were approached by persistent street vendors. Although there was a UV-treated water station in the lobby, we found the taste to be unpleasant. As a result, we purchased bottled water.

Comfortable bed, very clean. Very good breakfast with lots of choices. Tea was available in the lobby at all hours. Free welcome drink. Very comfortable seating in the lobby. We enjoyed our dinner in the hotel restaurant.

We booked this place as a treat after walking the Inca Trail and specifically chose a room with a bath and a bit more luxury. When we arrived the wifi wasn’t working (and hadn’t been for 3 days) so we couldn’t contact friends or family after being without internet for 4 days. No alternative was offered by staff and reception were unapologetic about this. Our room was dated as were the corridors. The bath in our room didn’t work and it took multiple attempts for them to get someone to fix it which left me with an hour before check out to use it. When I asked for some compensation/refund they offered an extra 10% off at the restaurant. They gave me the number of someone to help who couldn’t help and said because it was made through booking.com they wouldn’t offer us a refund. Awful experience, avoid at all costs.

The courtyard area in reception was a nice space with chargers although when it rained the ceiling leaked. The breakfast was good quality.

No bathroom space to store toiletries. Thankfully we upgraded to superiori room as standard would have been even smaller. No air conditioning in the rooms but they provided a small fan that sort of worked. A bit of a walk from Plaza the Armas and the Cuzco town Center.

Great restaurant and informative front desk staff. Will pack your boxed meal to go for early hikes. Has a nice local market across the street for souvenirs.

Staff on reception unhelpful and unprofessional and kept us waiting for over an hour to check in . The hotel claims to be a 4 star hotel but the quality of the rooms were not like the photos on the booking.com website and I would never rate the hotel above an average 3 star hotel for the size and quality of the rooms . The bathroom was very dated and the location is not as close to plaza de armas as I was expecting . All in very overpriced for an average hotel

When we arrived in recepción, there were multiple problems to check in. First she could not find my reservation…, she showed me a list of wrong names…. not my group…. I had made the reservation with booking…. then 3 people were looking for the reservation. I had reserved 5 rooms, but they could only find 4…This all took a looonnnggg time. Finally I added one person to room with another person. She felt very disappointed and moved to another hotel the next day….

Xima has been a quality hotel in the past. They may have new management.

Mold in the bathroom was a bit disappointing, thin walls (you will get up if the neighbour will go to a tour early morning to Machu p. or rainbow mountain...)
