Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Nothing bad to say
Lovely, clean and modern hotel with a central location. Was the perfect place to rest after the Salkantay trek and in between visiting MP. The staff were so friendly to us and the breakfast is great, with eggs cooked to order. Bed was very comfortable and the room was nice.

The morning breakfast is simple, but very well made!

Great option for those seeking really new and clean instalments close to the train station and other points of interest, such as the craft’s market. The staff was EXTREMELY helpful with our needs. Alberto, from reception, was too kind and proactive.

The place is a great location and nice place, great staff. Most friendly and helpful receptionist and staff. Everything about the hotel was exceptional. It was clean, stylish, roomy with excellent service . Breakfast was good and great value for money and service was attentive and efficient. Room itself was well equipped and comfortable. I was very pleased with my stay. Will definitely recommend.

Our reservation was explicitly for one double bed in each room. When we arrived in the rooms they both had two single beds. The staff helped us though and in the end we got different rooms that matched the reservations.
It seems to be a fairly new hotel, so everything still looks good. The rooms were clean and the showers were nice and hot. The staff was friendly and helped us with getting the correct rooms and let us leave our belongings there after checkout when we travelled to Machu Picchu.

Way too noisy at night from the kids playing and screaming on the street till midnight...can understand that this is life...just sharing experience

Small bathroom, not enough hooks.
Very helpful manager gave advice on buying tickets for Machu Pichu,( reminded us to take passports). Five minutes walk to station. Let us leave luggage then sit in lobby waiting for evening train. Hot shower, comfortable bed, wifi good. Thank you

Don't understand why I had been given a bedroom high up the third floor when there were so many rooms similar to mine that were unoccupied on the lower floors. I asked to move but they didn't allow (I only stayed one night and it was sad they couldn't accommodate the simple request) Place was harder to find than most places. Around 6-8 minutes from center.
Staff very welcoming and nice generally. New shower, strong pressure. and decent bed, fresh facilities. Close to the market. Surrounded by restaurants.

The noise from other rooms, guests and outdoors. You could hear everything. Not soundproof and the layout of some rooms facing the main stairs doesn’t help. Ask for a room not facing the stairs.

The rooms are quite noisy, especially in the early mornings when people have breakfast on the first floor before going to Machu Picchu.

Room didn’t match our expectations / photos. There was no balcony (which is listed in room facilities), exterior window and we had two single beds instead of double.

The rooms are not insulated at all. Between guests coming and going all night and noisy street in front of the room, we didn’t get much sleep.
The staff is really helpful and nice. Room looks clean.
