Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

AustraliaHostel is great for meeting people, the put on social events every night. Very clean, a lot of bathrooms and areas to chill. Beds are the comfiest I have had in a hostel. Great location. But the best thing about this place is the staff, everyone is so kind and willing to help. They genuinely care and look out for all the guests.

ColombiaIt was a little more expensive than the average hostel, but good reason for that when you arrive and see how clean, fun and comfortable it is.

I would give a 15/10 if I could! It was more than I expected. It had everything I needed and more! Peole were extremely nice, attached restaurant was amazing, planned events were phenomenal, location could not be better, there was security at the door to make sure only guests were there. I was in an 8-women with bathroom room and we all had privacy curtains which were amazing!

RomaniaI fell in love with this hostel. For me as a solo traveler it was perfect. I felt safe all the time and there were all kinds of activities for meeting people. The place has everything you need, besides a kitchen, but you don’t need that anyways ‘cause there is a restaurant with great food and even sandviches for sale if you have an early hike. It has a great location, great facilities and it’s cleaned every day. The staff is very kind and welcoming, especially Bryan, who assures the good vibe when it comes to activites. I will definitely choose Kokopelli everywhere it’s available.

The hostel is in a very good location, close to the center but in a quite place. The staff were wonderful, very kind people and funny. I book a 4 bed mix room, but they have a problem and change me to a 8 bed only female, but I don’t mind and the room was very spacious and clean, and quite, I can definitely say that in this room you won’t hear anything from the bar, any music or sound, that was great because I have a short time and wake up early everyday to tours. The bar for breakfast and restaurant at night are great too, good food and drinks

United KingdomPeople getting up at staggered times in dorms, 3am; 4am; 5am; 6am; 7am everyday! Scheduling dorms to those on excursions and those finishing and looking to relax is much better. Food isn’t the best in the restaurant and needs a better suited bar area for more communal events
Great facilities, friendly staff! Just what you need as a backpacker!

AustraliaThe hostel is so big that it is daunting to meet new people
Really large and clean open spaces with a tourism desk inside to book tours. Private room was separated and spacious and bright. Activities every night however not always the biggest take up depending on the activity.

SwitzerlandWe spent a total of 11 nights at the Viajero Kokopelli in Cusco. We had a wonderful time here and would check in again in a heartbeat! The staff are incredibly friendly and accommodating! The hostel places great value on cleanliness. Every day the staff came by to clean our room, bring fresh towels and make our bed! This is the highest standard we have ever experienced in a hostel. We are very grateful, this contributed 100% to our feel-good factor! There is free tea in the hostel at all times! The internal bar also has delicious food and great drinks😍 The Viajero Kokopelli is great for meeting other travelers, but also for spending time alone! The pool table and table football were used regularly. Particularly noteworthy is the active leisure program! We took part in the pizza workshop, enjoyed the karaoke night and made our own burgers! In short: we love the Viajero Kokopelli ❤️

CanadaWe stayed in a private room - the beds and pillows were amazing, sooo comfortable. We had our best sleeps through out our 16 day trip here. The location was great, very central. Close to the plazas and most recommended locations to eat. It had a good restaurant within the hostel and lots of extra room/couches available for after check-out.

United States of AmericaMore of just a comment than a complaint - this is a social hostel (scheduled activities and a bar), so if you’re not looking for a younger more social experience, it might not be the best choice for you.
The facilities are clean/updated and the location is great for exploring Cusco for the first time. The free luggage storage is also very convenient for those doing a multi day trek to Machu Picchu and all of the staff were extremely nice to us - especially Jeffery at the front door!

CanadaIt's probably not really necessary to play Reggaeton loudly over breakfast. But they were OK with changing it.
They seem to have prepared for everything at this hostal. Also a great place to meet people and compare notes. Lots of very helpful and friendly staff.

United States of AmericaSince it does have a bar (with quite good selection of food) it can be loud at times.
The hostel is actually quite big, with two roofed courtyards and a garden out back, where they organize bonfires. I was surprised by how comfy the bunk beds were - and believe me I have quite a base for comparison.
