Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaThe property needs to do a better job at labeling the accommodation, both on booking, Google maps, and a sign out the front from the main road. The location was not marked at all, so you could not tell where to find the property from the main road OR the beach unless you memorized what it looked like and found it walking along the beach. This made our arrival brutal in the heat climbing through many stairs and alleyways on the Corong Corong side of town until we found it. Google maps address will take you to the wrong side and you’ll find yourself carrying your bags for a solid 15 minutes through stairs and hills to find this place. The AC does not really work, so it turns into an oven mid day. The shower pump doesn’t work most of the time, so you are left with a cold weak dribble for a shower. The host did not respond to my message when I asked how to fix this. The water also smells strongly of rust. A tabo would be more suitable for this accommodation, but that was also not an option. Overall, if it was 1/3 or 1/2 the price, these things could be overlooked, but for the price, these things were very disappointing.
The property is secluded and has a direct view of the sunset over Corong Corong beach. Our room (the regular room, not the deluxe) has a private balcony that overlooked the beach. The sunsets were stunning.

NetherlandsOwners forgot we were coming upon arrival and didn’t check up on us throughout the rest of our stay. There was no extra toilet paper so we quickly ran out. The hut is outside of the city but still very noisy (the owners were watching videos and talking loudly next to our hut at 5:30 AM). Overall the hut was all right, basic, you only pay for the views
Perfect sunset spot and close to El Nido town (not within walking distance but fine by motorbike)

Great location right next to the beach. Beautiful view Comfortable bed Surprisingly good air con Was expecting more bugs but actually not so many. Host jam will help with anything via WhatsApp. Mark lives next door and will assist with anything you need. Overall a very comfortable stay if you are the sort who like to keep it simple.

Philippines𝐖𝐀𝐓𝐄𝐑- When brushing your teeth, you need to use mineral water because the water from the sink tastes metal and felt dangerous because of the rust from it. 𝐄𝐋𝐄𝐂𝐓𝐑𝐈𝐂𝐈𝐓𝐘- the power went off because of the typhoon for atleast more than 5 times (which was understandable in El Nido) but there were no back-up given. No generator or atleast flashlights so it was quite a challenge. 𝐍𝐎 𝐊𝐄𝐓𝐓𝐋𝐄- For coffee lovers like us, we had to run to the nearest local store to get a hot water until the property manager provided us thermos and coffee on the 3rd and 4th day. 𝐋𝐎𝐂𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍- No Signage outside so we got lost finding the place. No Shops around so renting a motorbike is a must. 𝐇𝐎𝐔𝐒𝐄𝐊𝐄𝐄𝐏𝐈𝐍𝐆- Cleaning of room is upon request and not guaranteed to be available everyday. So the room only got cleaned up on our 2nd to the last day of stay.
𝐕𝐈𝐄𝐖- the space has an amazing view of the sea across your bed. It was truly amazing ang breathtaking. 𝐒𝐓𝐀𝐅𝐅- they were assisting in every concerns we have. 𝐏𝐑𝐈𝐕𝐀𝐂𝐘- we started our stay in the Town Proper in another hotel and decided to book in Hut Sunset to find a quiet space and we are glad to have found peace in there. You will truly get the privacy you are looking for.

Saudi ArabiaEl Nido has electricity problems that effect the whole town. sometimes we did not have power, however the host has a generator that can be used turned on when in need - other hotels have 24/7 power but they are more expensive and/or are not on the beach.
Great location on the beach, short ride into el Nido - short walk if you just want some drink or food. Host was extremely friendly and helpful.

KuwaitThe place is a bit far from restaurants and stores. Though walking is safe going to the the nearby places, the streets are dark. You can either take the main road or the sea side. It will take you 5-15min of walk to reach the restaurants/stores. They don't offer free drinking water. The house is made up of glass and wood materials so expect few insects inside the room. These are minor issues to us, we enjoyed our stay.
We stayed for 2 nights. The room was spacious, bathroom was big, with a huge balcony and beautiful view. The room has a glass wall facing the beach which makes it perfect for viewing sunset/mountain/sea. The place is Perfect for couple and those who wants an Instagramable location. It's beach front but not perfect for swimming though I saw few people swimming and sunbathing. It's the kind of place that I would choose for reading or for my lazy day. I would recommend the place though the rate is a bit higher compared to other budget hotels.

United KingdomThe view from the balcony is lovely, especially during sunset
We booked last minute when we got into El Nido, so didn’t get to read all the reviews. To begin with it was nearly impossible to find, we went into a nearby hotel to ask: no one knew, we went to a nearby bar/restaurant: no one knew. At this point we thought we’d been scammed and the place doesn’t exist. We then asked a random man on the street next to where Google was showing us the place would be and he pointed us to a gate, which had zero signs, nothing, it looked like someone’s house. Which it was. We got the hut on the left and from night 1 it was so loud: street noise, a trapped gecko making noise, outside cats and dogs, and because this hut was attached to the owners house you could literally hear them talk at all times. Shower - starting with the multiple ants all over the place, whoever commented is a cold dribble smelling like rust was absolutely right, we had the dribble for a day and a half, then no water at all, when we asked the host what’s going on she said that they had run out of water, when we asked when this will be replenished as we’d just come back after a sweaty day on the beach to refresh before dinner she said she doesn’t know. There was NO WATER FOR OVER 12 hours. Not just shower but TOILET!!! They didn’t even bother to get us a bucket of sea water to flush the toilet with. Day 3 still no water, electricity was out all morning, so no AC which anyway was extremely poor and the room was hot anyway (due to very outdated unit). Did I mention still no water? It also rained in the morning and water was dripping from the ceiling to the bed. I don’t even know what else to say, but you’re better off in a hostel…I’ve shared videos with booking.com

SwedenThis hotel was next to a super busy road with hard steps to climb down to the "hut" and then further down to the rocky beach. The location was far from restaurants and the nice part of corong corong where you could actually enjoy the white sand, have drink and relax. This is the most overpaid place we ever stayed at. We even moved out two days before. No working wifi, hard to find. It is not a hotell or hostel, just two rooms and a caretaker.
The view was nice, but as the the whole beach is facing sunset, you can have the same view anywhere.

United KingdomThe accommodation was very basic and bathroom looked unhygienic. The ledges looked as if they had been painted on top of mould and the paint had flaked off. No shower curtain so the floor was soaked. The air conditioner was feeble and a floor fan needed to cool the room. It whirred all night. Traffic noise from the tricycle motorbikes and trucks on main road so I slept with earplugs. Handrail to the steep steps to the beach completely broken. Steep steps to the road very dark at night. No dining table, no kettle and cups, no airport shuttle as advertised. No fridge in room. 95% of photos on website of a second apartment that was not ours. That apt looked very pleasant and had a fridge. We stored our luggage in there while our apartment was being prepared. Wifi worked for a couple of minutes only and then needed to be re-connected. No daily cleaning because cleaner did not have a key. Complained 3 times on day one and then messaged the owner outlining our concerns. A kettle, cups and the broken handrail then fixed. We paid PP$62,000 per night for a shack in desperate need or refurbishment. A disgrace - do not book. Reviews are more than likely related to other unit. I felt that I had been robbed. Photos online are a misrepresentation of this unit.
The view from the hut was lovely. The restaurant next door had excellent food and was well priced at PP$1400 for two people with two beers. The tuttut tricycle fare was PP$400 to the airport and 100 to Vanilla Beach. There was a backpackers hostel within a few minutes walk that had organised boat trips around the island.
