Staffs were all accomodating, prompt and nice. Love the breakfast buffet and free snacks every afternoon, also the free drinks provided in the room.

The hotel exceeded our expectations, with lots of complimentary snacks and gifts from the beginning, two beautiful pools, a very classy room, a nice restaurant. We enjoyed our two night stay there, and even had a massage in the hotel spa. There's a nice sunset view from the rooftop bar. The breakfast buffet was good. The staff was very nice and welcoming, and helpful in booking us a transfer to the airport. We overall recommend staying at the Funny Lion in Coron !

Thoughts: -Our sons' room was OK, small 2 twin beds room, had a slight sewage smell. My boys didn't care and barely smelled anything, but I'm pretty sensitive to smells -We were not a fan of the toilet hose and not being able to flush toilet paper down the toilet, but I understand if this is an island issue -I would ask that the turndown staff to be aware of closing the door while doing turndown or during the delivery of snacks as it lets the mosquitos in

Travelled as a family of 4 with 2 young boys. We had our own room facing the back pool and the boys had their own room in the middle of the property. We were OK with this and the boys were happy to be separated from us. Thoughts: -We liked having two separate pools as my sons took over the back pool away from the couples traveling -The room by the back pool was spacious and quiet and very clean with a very comfortable bed -The rooftop pool was really cool with great drinks -The staff were super friendly and accommodating

Breakfast was great. Property was close to town. Staff was very hospitable, accommodating, friendly, helpful and welcoming. Room was on point. Really happy with our stay here.

Rooms a little more outdated/showing wear and tear than photos suggest. Restaurant menu options weren’t the best. Had to have the same cocktail two drinks for the 2 for 1 during happy hour.

Staff friendly and helpful. Clean spacious room. Good A/C. Nice pool area. Massage service was good. Tours we booked directly through reception were great. Easy tricycle ride to town.

Everything about this hotel was excellent from start to finish. The staff were incredible, they couldn't have been friendlier or done more for us! The food was delicious and there were so many little touches that made our stay so enjoyable (turndown service with cookies, ice lollies by the pool, massages etc.). Would highly recommend the funny lion to anyone!

The property and the room was kept clean, maintained well and the facilities were great including the pools and the pool bar - the staff we’re out of this world kind and attended to everything requested to make sure you were comfortable. The pool area was fabulous and the buffet breakfast was good also, I would definitely stay here again!

One of The Best Hotels we stayed in the Phillipines during our Trip. Big Pool Area. Very nice staff and Great breakfast also Snacks and free water Are Served and Cocktail Happy Hours From 12-5 pm available. I Would recommend the Restaurant also for Dinner.

Great hotel. Staff were brilliant particularly Iwan and F&B manager Ian. All staff very friendly and they made it a very pleasant stay. Pools were very nice and food and beverage offering was great too. Room was spacious and complimentary snacks and drinks in the fridge were appreciated.

The friendliest and most helpful staff. We stayed here to indulge after a rough 3 day boat trip and it did not disappoint. The Pride King room was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. The room and linens were very clean. There were a lot of small details at this place that were really thoughtful. An evening turn down service with a sweet treat, cookies on check out day, treat by the pool. Rooftop bar with jacuzzi was great and also the barbecue buffet dinner. We let them know it was our honeymoon and they had a congratulations set up in the room on our arrival with a piece of (delicious) chocolate cake for us. We also had a great massage at the spa. Really can’t fault this place, thanks for a great stay!

The rooms were clean but more basic than the funny lion in el nido. However this did not change the positive view I had of the hotel, more than happy to stay here again.

My stay at The Funny Lion in Coron was absolutely delightful from start to finish. A few days before we arrived the crew messaged me on WhatsApp to confirm our arrival and also checked to see if we needed assistance with transportation from the airport, which clearly we did. From the moment we checked in, the cleanliness of the hotel was evident, making us feel comfortable and well cared for. We were pleasantly surprised to receive charming little gifts upon arriving in our room, a thoughtful touch that added to our experience. The daily refilled refreshments were a wonderful bonus, ensuring we were always hydrated and happy. What truly set The Funny Lion apart, however, was the incredible staff. Their hospitality was exceptional—always greeting us with a smile, eager to assist with anything we needed. The team's courteousness, kindness, and professionalism made our stay not just enjoyable, but truly memorable. It’s rare to encounter such consistent warmth and helpfulness. It wasn’t walking distance to the city centre, but you can take a tuk tuk and it only takes about 5 mins to get there. Just be aware that after 11pm it’s harder to find one leaving the hotel.

The property was really nice and clean. The staff is some of the best I’ve ever seen! The sunset views from the roof top was breath taking!
