Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

ArmeniaLocker has problem so you can only leave your things beside staff for safety as box does not lock with different lockers but they told we are working on it and will fix it which I guess can take time and it is important and urgent point for safety but in general it is good hostel with good facilities.

United KingdomVery good stay experience! The bed is very comfortable, the interior is very clean, and there is always a faint smell of air freshener in the air, which may prove that it is cleaned frequently. The front desk staff is also very good. And the location must be said to be very good. It is not far from the subway exit and can be easily found. It is convenient to find Aldi within 5 minutes from where I live. Overall, if I come to Lisbon next time, I will choose this place again!

NetherlandsThe price. We paid more than double the standard rate just because Taylor Swift was in town. We weren’t even there for the concert. We felt gouged on the price.
The rooms and linens were very clean. Overall the facility was generally well kept. The beds were comfortable and the hotel was quiet inside at night.

Poland- under-bed lockers make a lot of noise, which can be disturbing at night, particularly to light sleepers - I couldn't get a padlock for my locker, so I had to sleep without locking my things for 2 nights - I don't like that; I was told that a padlock would be available in the morning (because someone would return it when they left the hostel), but it wasn't; so I encourage anyone interested in this hostel to bring their own padlock - also, if I remember correctly, they charge 2 euros for storing your luggage after you check out (maybe they inform you about this on the website, I didn't have time to read it all) - this is the first time I've come across something like this, and I travel a lot; it's not a lot of money, but it's still surprising - sometimes you wait for ages for a lift to take you upstairs...

NorwayThere should be a check that people are bringing unwanted guests in the rooms. On the last day there was a guy, who brought some random girl in the room to have sex in the middle of the night. I was not able to sleep properly.
Everything was very clean and tidy and really well managed. i would like to stay again.

United States of AmericaThe locks on the lockers did not work so they wouldn’t properly shut, which made us feel very nervous. Also they serve drinks on the rooftop bar but every time I went up there, the bar had no attendant working so we were never able to get drinks. The back alley behind the building leads straight to downtown but felt a little sketchy at night.
I liked the curtains on the bed, very nice lounge areas and rooftop terrace. The space was very nice and pretty. The location was also great! A short walk to all the popular tourist destinations.

LatviaDidn't like the level of security of private property. there are no keys to lock the lockers, each guest should be provided, but there are only a couple of keys. The staff says that it is safe to leave the belongings, but there is a girl standing next to the police who was robbed. Staff should not lie, but tell the truth.
I liked the hotel itself, beautifully decorated. The location is fantastic. Cleanliness. There is a nice seating area, a dining area. There is a bar upstairs. I really liked the place.

United KingdomNo kitchen facility so constantly having to eat out (not my bag at all). The noise from the main road was intense both at night and with the trash collections in the morning - windows were kept open as the room gets unbearably stuffy with 6 sleeping bodies (can't imagine how it is in bigger dorms). The light sensor in the female shower doesn't like it when you're still so you need to move like Lady Gaga to keep it on - I recommend Poker Face.
Great room (I was in a 6-bed female dorm), beds were good and the 2x power sockets, light and privacy curtain (and little storage nook) were perfect. Signing onto the WiFi is easy and I could still get work done. The water in the showers and sinks were always hot and once you know your way around there are enough toilets even with the morning rush at times. The location is great to access the metro nearby as well as immediate restaurants from the front door. There's also a little Aldi round the corner. The rooftop space and view is gorgeous!

I had a private bathroom with a shower but unfortunately until late at night every day I heard the shower in the shared toilets.my girlfriend didn't mind the noise from the shower it bothered me a bit but since I came home tired I could sleep.

CanadaThat people can come into the shared rooms at all hours of the night. We had a young man come in our room and shine the light in my husband’s bunk asking what bed he was in. I think he had the wrong room as it was our third night there. Then a staff member came back up with him and woke us up again and said we didn’t check in? Like I said already there for 2 nights previously. We mentioned it in the morning and they were nice enough to comp us for breakfast but it was a very unrestful night.
Location was great! The hostel was clean and the staff were helpful.

BrazilThe location is not one of the bests spots in Lisbon, because is a bit far from downtown. Besides, there is a subway station really near the hostel. But the worst part of the experience is that they don’t have a kitchen to you prepare your own meal, or fridge to keep your stuff.
The hostel is clean and comfortable. Staff is super friendly and professional.
