Sandra met us upon arrival and allowed us to check-in well before the stated check-in time as we had an early flight to Terceira. What a beautiful property! One always hopes that upon arrival the accommodations look like the online photos, Sandra's house was perfect and exceeded our expectations and at a fantastic rate! She gave a mini tour of the home, explaining how to use the television, the kitchen appliances, washer/dryer and access the wi-fi. She shared with us hiking information and restaurant listings. We were even left with a treat of eggs from her farm that provided part of our breakfast for a few days. The beds and pillows were comfortable and the bath linens superior. The area was so quiet and peaceful, perfect for relaxation with views of the mountains, rolling hills, farm land and the sea. The house was ideal for a lengthy stay, everything flowed easily as if you were away from home, but with the comforts of home. Everything one would need for a stay was provided, and I mean everything. There was plenty of space to set up toiletries in the bathroom, excellent water pressure and temperature. Everything looked brand new, spotlessly clean with a modern decor. It was just my husband and I for the stay, but a small family or group of friends would find this place to be wonderful. The location was tucked away in a quiet area, but it was very easy to drive elsewhere and close enough to a number of interesting sites. My husband loved the house so much, he jokingly said he could just stay in it and skip island exploring. We only walked down to the natural pools twice during our visit. The first time it was pouring rain and second for an enjoyable sunrise. In warmer months, it would be perfect for those seeking water fun and Sandra has provided beach items. This property, like many others on the island does not allow paper in the toilets. There is a bidet in one of the bathrooms. Perhaps Sandra should have given us Americans a lesson on its use ;)

Nothing. It was perfect and staying a week was way to short.

Casa da Salga is like a luxury accommodation, so well set up in the kitchen, plenty of soft plush towels, spotlessly clean, view of the Atlantic Ocean and includes all the charm of rural Terceira. There are excellent cafes and restaurants nearby, a winery to tour and a wine museum. Sandra is a friendly accommodating host. Her welcome was a good initiation to the island. She was very quick to answer our questions about the island.

Could not have been improved upon!

This property was beautifully furnished and thoughtfully equipped, with everything we could possibly need especially in the kitchen and bathrooms. Everything looked fresh and was really comfortable. The owner was personal and pleasant in greeting us on arrival but sensitive to let us just enjoy the house without intrusion. Perhaps our best ever Airbnb experience.

The house is very large perfect for 4 peoples, perfectly furnished and equipped. The owner is a very but very kind woman really envolved in making the things easy for you. We appreciate a lot the eggs and vegetables from her garden.

I didn't like that I left ... I wished if I could stay more

We extended our stay at this house, we couldn't resist the beauty of the house and how comfortable it was to us. 1. Very clean house 2. Very kind and lovely host 3. Very specious 2 rooms and comfortable beds 4. Very modern design of the house and so comfortable 5. The kitchen is biiiig and have stuff and equipments more than we needed 6. During Nov it was rainy; windy and cold but we didn't feel any as the house is equipped with AC and heater and was warm 7. Outside of the house is very big and specious we enjoyed every minute with the table outside 8. Very specious and clean toilets with many many towels and other stuff 9. The owner had also put a lot of smells perfumes around the house 10. Private car parking for maybe 3 cars 11. The house has big windows all around the house which give you a view all the time like you are in nature 12. The windows has sliding outside covers 13. Very strong Internet with big TV screen 14. House had washing machine and drier, parpecu stuff and many other things that feels like you are home 15. The beach and small park is 5 min walking down to the beach Next time if am coming back to terceira most likely am checking this house first.

Beautiful house in pristine condition with wonderful views

Nothing. Only regret is our stay was too short.

The house is very clean and is a 5 minute walk to the ocean. There are restaurants within walking distance as well as natural swimming pools among the lava inlets. Most of all, the house has plenty of room and is perfect for a couple or family of 4 to spend a week. It was very quiet and we slept better than at home. It’s a great value for the rate charged.
