It was pretty hard to get onto the top of the bunk bed. I'm not super fit, but never had this problem anywhere lol. Room was a bit poor, just bed, table, chair and a wardrobe in the hallway. This was fine but what made working quite difficult was that there aren't any sockets near the bed. All in all it was fair for the price and good enough if you just need a private place to stay.

I had to get my head around the fact that the hotel is a "contact-less" establishment. There was no resident staff. I got in on my own via a code access to a key box. When I got info about my specific room, it turned out to be not ready. I had to contact the off-site manager to come over and put me in a different room that was perfectly fine. It was a temporary glitch in an otherwise OK arrangement. No harm, no foul. The breakfast was just a basket of breads, cheeses, etc. left outside my door. That was fine for me, but it took some getting used to.

The hotel was clean and modern and efficiency-oriented. It was well-located for walking around town, catching the bus, etc. There was a well-appointed kitchen available. My room had a garden view.

Weak water pressure, one day the hot water was completely cut off. The other days it was warm or cool. The bathroom had damp smell (but this is everywhere in Portugal). The bed creaked

Great location, everything is close by, big bed, private bathroom, tv, heater, WiFi. Extra warm blanket, clean bed linen. Quick communication with the owner. I lived alone in the whole house 😀 because of the off-season. Overall I enjoyed it and it was nice to come back in the evening, if the water was always warm or hot and the bed didn't creak I would rate it higher

Only that the airconditioning was not working, even if it's November, it was quite warm in the rooms.

Incredibly friendly staff, they gave clear instructions on how to enter the accommodation and were always available if you needed anything.

The location made it easy to get to the main areas of the town. Although I never met the staff, as it is self check-in, they responded quickly on Whatsapp.

Our room had a portable a\c that wasn't able to deal with the humidity and kept filling up with water and stopping. Made the room a little uncomfortable on the warmer humid days.

Great location, very central to town and amenities. Easy walk to the main market for a shop and the kitchen facilities were great.

The showers were a little bit unstable regarding water pressure and temperature. There was a breakfast mistake one of the days, that was communicated and cared for during the remaining days

Room and all the building is very humid. It seems that even sheets get wet. AC didnt help much, open window was better but we were afraid of termites.

We were transfered to Casa Ateneu cause Casa do Teatro was overbooked. It was in the center of Ponta Delgada, very comfortable location. First room we got had termites so they changed it to another one the same day. We had a couple of termites there too but not like in the other room. Staff was helpful and friendly.
