This was a great location, very close to the train station, restaurants and walking trails to the castles. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The enthusiastic woman at the front desk helped us book castle tickets and plan our day. The room we chose was the smallest and to compensate they gave us a free bottle of wine. This is a very charming home with a wonderful sitting area and garden. I’d definitely stay here again! It’s a hidden gem!

The breakfast wasn't available until 8:15. Not expecting that, we had made some early ticket entry times for some of the attractions and transport. That meant we weren't really able to avail ourselves of the breakfast, except for one day.

This is a really nice place in all respects. We had an absolutely huge room right off the main area, which was a great arrangement. The views from the sitting area are spectacular. All the amenities that are available make this place perfect. The staff couldn't be friendlier or more helpful. You are within walking distance of the main historic area, yet not in the middle of it, which is a nice combination. It is very close to the train station, which we used when we departed.

The most charming house with a lovely 1930s styling. Exceptionally friendly and helpful staff. Honesty bar and free port in the delightful communal area. Wish we had stayed more than 2 nights.

We stayed in the family suite on the top floor which was a nice space and the beds were comfortable but there was only one mirror with no plug for a hairdryer nearby other than the bathroom. This made it hard for everyone to get ready at the same time.

So many beautiful, magical details! The house itself is architecturally unique with tons of decorative details that make it unique and memorable. Even little doors everywhere based on the book, The Borrowers. Like a fairytale house

There's no parking. There is public parking near by, but it's always full, so we always needed to wait a little bit to get in.

The location is great! The place itself is super classic and traditional, but well maintained. The room has super high ceilings, traditional furniture (but comfortable!) and the bathroom is nice and renovated.

Absolutely lovely place to stay, Helena was fantastic at talking us through everything about the chalet itself and Sintra, and have us many helpful tips. Lovely welcome touches and comfortable rooms. Saw so many people stop by the fence to admire the chalet and take photos of it.
