The price was high season but the room had obvious signs of wear and tear that need attention to justify the pricing in my opinion.

Lovely room with very special balcony. Great views to the river. The room was designed for a romantic couple weekend. If you have time for dinner and wine on your private balcony this is perfect. We enjoyed the sunset and have wonderful photos. Breakfast was great.

Room was quirky with a great outlook onto the Plaza. Historic character building at the front with modern architecture at the back. Bathroom was well set up with good hot water. Staff friendly and efficient and breakfast was really good. We enjoyed a nice dinner in the restaurant with a complimentary bottle of wine.

The receptionist was unfriendly. Sour to be exact. The restaurant in the evening was horrible. We basically waited for almost 2 hours to get waited on and served. I actually had to get water for our table myself. The food wasn't what we expected for the price. Overall not great.

The spa is not the greatest. The sauna room wasn't heating properly, and the pool water was cold. The jacuzzi was not working.

The decor in the rooms is really cheesy and doesn't match the really cool historical building that it's in. My original room had a very strong mildew smell and I had to ask to be moved because of my allergies. They were a little annoyed with me but they did move me which was appreciated. My second room had a huge window that was right by the restraunt and it was a little uncomfortable.

It's right on the main square. They checked me in early. The rooms were big. The outside of the buidling is beautiful. The breakfast was really great and was ready at 7:30.

There was a smell of damp in some communal areas, but it was a winter stay and not in the room. I personally like a bathtub (for the little one) in the bathroom and a little more privacy, but this is very much personal preferences - the only reason I don’t give 10/10.

Fun quirky individual rooms right in the heart of Caminha. Lovely staff, good facilities, great food (we really enjoyed breakfast and dinner). Fish dishes in particular were really lovely. Everyone was very kind to us and our little boy (age 2) and he enjoyed his stay as much as we did! We particularly loved our view of the square, watching everyone coming and going from the Juliet balcony. We felt very well looked after, and that the hotel is very good value for money. We will be back for sure :)

Very spacious and a beautiful bathroom. Very friendly and helpful staff. Perfect location, close to the harbour for the boat crossing to Spain. Half board was exceptional... try the steak!

First of all, when you're travelling and just having a really bad day, it's so nice to have a staff member at a hotel treat you with compassion, so I want to thank Anna for that. As for the hotel, it's a little weird in that there are two buildings and if you're in the second one, you have to walk through the restaurant and across a yard to get to your room. And it had been raining all week - the room was pretty damp, smelled a little off, and the floor was a little wet, though it did dry up eventually. but it was well sized and everything worked, though the shower was a little funky to turn off and on.
