Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

No quibbles.
STAFF The staff are Dom Vilas’s greatest strength by far. The four receptionists – João Paulo, Maria (??), Marta and Juliano – are warm, friendly, knowledgeable about this ancient city, and EXCEPTIONALLY helpful. But for their help, I would not have made it to my coach on time, AND they mothered me with a paper cup full of the most scrumptious, sweet smoked almonds (which they had in a big bowl at reception, made by another member of staff) to take with me on my coach. So efficient are the housekeeping staff that I was able to check in Very early (7am), and check out late, without anybody grumbling. LOCATION The Dom Vilas is a short 5-min walk from the Avenida da Liberdade in Braga, which in turn leads up to the Centro Histórico. The Centro Histórico is about a 15/20-min walk from the hotel. TRAVEL The Dom Vilas is about a 10-min walk from the bus stop from where one takes the bus to the Santuário do Bom Jesus do Monte. The Terminal Rodoviária (main coach station) is about 8-10 mins away by taxi (if you don’t have much luggage, you might choose to walk. It takes about 30 mins on foot). DINING OPTIONS The hotel is a 2-min walk from local neighbourhood restaurants, and about a 7-min walk from the main parade of shops and other restaurants on the Avenida da Liberdade. BREAKFAST I did not book this option because the breakfast photographs on their website were not very appealing. If they improve those pictures, I might book myself in for breakfast next time! SAFETY The road the hotel is situated on is largely residential, and felt fairly safe.

Staircase doors should have a windowed part in order to see whats behind the door. Opening the door leads you straight into the stairs and not being careful could knock someone over from the other side

Nothing to appoint. Maybe, it could be more electrical outpoints for the chargers.
We did not take breakfast at the hotel since we knew that we will wake up late. We liked the hospitality and kindness of the staff. We felt as at home.

It lacks swimming pool and the reception is rather too small.
The location is great though a little far from the city centre. The hotel location is great for a traveller desiring a very quite stay. It has its restaurant and other restaurants/cafe surrounding it. There is a nearby convenient store (LIDL Plus) where you can buy groceries and personal items cheap and it is just about 10 minutes walk away from the hotel. For fun lovers, there is an adjoining fun park across the a well landscaped river.

The wifi upstairs could be better.
The staff was really nice and had some great recommendations for food and fun. They were also up for a chat and laughter. Even though the hotel might not be you first choice because of the outdated looks, it definitely had its charms! Give it a chance!

Following up on the issue with the a/c, guessing that it couldn't keep up with the heat that was experienced during the time I was there. I must be honest the hotel felt a bit old and not kept up well. Otherwise it met the needs.
The staff was actually very helpful, the breakfast was normal and satisfying. The room had a/c but unfortunately was working all that well.

During the april 2022 were no restaurants nearby open. We had to walk to the centre of Braga to find any open.
Good location in Braga with free parking and a about 10-15 mnts walk into the city centre. Rooms had everything needed, clean, beds were comfy. Good breakfast, wi-fi was also good. The staff deserve a special mention, they were incredibly friendly and caring, and did everything to make sure we got the most out of Braga and surroundings.

The room was a little noisy
The staff were ultra helpful and friendly, really went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed or needed to know. The location is great, nice walk into the centre of the city.

Location is not that good if you are travelling by public transport, although there are nice walking paths nearby. I think that hotel is a bit old-fashioned and worn out as it has not been recently renovated.
Nice room with comfy bed and pillows. Rooms are cleaned every day. Staff is very friendly and multilingual and can you help you planning your stay in Braga. Bathroom is nice and everything works perfectly.
