Excellent place to get close to the nature and escape city noise. The room was in a detached house, private entry and own mini kitchen. We had a terrace facing the forest. The place is equipped with everything you need for a short stay. The breakfast was superb, a lot of dished cooked with local products. Excellent service and great experience. Recommending a chefs dinner at the restaurant, it was very sophisticated.

Our two rooms smelled like mold or mildew. There was a device that emitted a floral smell that was designed to mask the smell of the mildew (I assume) but it smelled worse than the mildew. Our bathroom window in 23 was hanging off one hinge and couldn't be opened and our coffee maker was broken. In unit 24 there was no coffee maker.

The breakfast was great but expensive. The location was beautiful and serene.

Only shampoo/shower gel but no conditioner. Probably would have been available if we asked, but we didn’t bother since we only stayed one night.

Ambiance was fantastic. We didn’t use it but the kitchenette was very well stocked with cookware. Above all, dinner at the restaurant is a must!

The room smelt slightly of damp (it rained a lot the week we were on the island) and even the inside of the bed was a bit damp. The dinner in the restaurant was average and expensive. The food didn’t have much flavour and the portions were very small. We asked if we needed to order sides with our main course and we were told that it would be a substantial plate so we didn’t. We ordered fish and it came on a thin coulis of tomatoes and a spoonful of taramasalata, nothing else. We had better fish in other restaurants in the Azores & with vegetables for half the price. Strange considering their good breakfast. We paid close to €300 for 1 night, which is way overpriced.

Cabins on quiet ground, a long way away from the road (the hotel is 10 minutes’ away from the town and a car is a must). Comfortable bed apart from the inflexible foam pillows. The room was furnished in a minimalistic way with sustainable material (which is great for the environment and we liked that). It was not luxurious, but it was nice and clean. Good rain shower in the bathroom. Very good breakfast: fresh food made on the premises (they have a farm) - jam, egg & bacon, some fresh fruit, pancakes, yogurt & muesli, homemade bread & cakes. Friendly staff, a nice exchange library and some board games you can borrow. Small swimming pool, but not heated (with 19°C water temperature only for the brave!).

This is a very nice place! The location is exceptional! In the forest and near the Furnas lake! The staff was really friendly and helpful during our stay. The house was nice and clean, and the breakfast is good. And, don't forget the pool! ;-) We had a very good time here!

The bathroom was relatively small - the door was in the way. The only mirror available stayed fogged forever after you got a shower. A second mirror in the room would have been appreciated

Environment, location. The site is totally integrated in the sorrounding nature. The staff is very friendly, the food is local and homemade. Very peaceful place, 10 minute car ride to Furnas village and walking distance to the lake

At this price point, breakfast should be included in our rate. This was the most expensive property of the six we visited during our ten-day stay, and all the other hotels provided a large breakfast buffet. The only other remote house that did not provide breakfast was 1/2 the price.

The property maintains a farm/garden on the premises that provide for the restaurant, which is phenomenal. Dinner is a must! The food is exquisite and the service from Diana and Miquel was exceptional. We loved wandering around to see the animals and herbs.

Brilliant breakfast - best we had on the island - and great coffee. Outstanding three course dinner served in lovely dining room looking out on the garden with the flames glowing from firepit outside. Just a a few steps from Furnas Lake, set in lovely grounds with a garden, orchard, and open space. Friendly staff and even an swimming pool.

Perfect for a relaxing stay at Furnas: close to the Furnas lake park, 5 min (by car) to the centre of Furnas town and the hot springs. The property has everything that you need to cook/warm up your and enjoy your meals while in the middle of green scenery.

Highly recommend Furnas Lake Forest Living for those into minimalist decor and looking for a relaxing getaway. The studio apartment we had was thoughtfully designed and very comfortable. We enjoyed the comfy robes and kitchen for our honeymoon. it was just perfect to relax. The pods are in a beautiful part of Furnas with nature all around. The hosts were super friendly and welcoming and provided an at home feel. Staying here was truly a relaxing experience and we’d come back in the future!
