- The bathroom is ok but you have to pass along the outside common zone to come from the room to it, so it isn't so useful if it is cold; furthermore, it is very low so it isn't kind for me that be tall (but it is only my problem).

- The house is located in the periferic area of the small village of Sao Vicente: there is a free parking nearby where you can find easily a car park. - The beach side is 2km far (15min by foot), where you can find restaurants (my favourite is "La Caravela", i recommend it a lot!!), bars and a market. - The room is ok: there are private dishes inside and in the common zone you can find a kettle, a fridge and a microwave, but you can't cook. - In the common zone you can wash your clothes and put them to dry. - Rate quality/price is very high!! - The comunication with the host is very good: he answers very quickly to all our request.

If many guests come here, maybe Federico will save up enough money to build a separate toilet and bathroom. We sincerely wish him the same, because it would make it much easier for guests to stay there

We chose this room because of the very good price. Anyone who wants a five-star hotel should not come here. We wholeheartedly recommend it to everyone else. Frederico and his mother are very, very nice and helpful. The modest bathroom is cleaned several times a day. A bus stop, two cafes, pub and a restaurant are practically under the window. Ten other restaurants, a pastry shop, pizzeria and market open 7 days a week, and the ocean are a 15-minute walk away. When we return to Madeira, we will definitely stay here.

Frederic is a marvelous host and his house is absolutely lovely' With local old fashioned feeling, is very well located. The rooms are equipped with old beautiful furniture and very nice old wooden floor He genuinely cares about the wellbeing of his guests. Good local tavernas, coffee shops, restaurants around and stunning ocean wiew nearby. Definetely recommended !!

Everything was great.

Everything! The host was nice and friendly, gave us a lot of information and advice on local attractions. The room was clean and comfortable, good WiFi. The village is very beautiful and tranquil. There is a large paved/unpaved parking nearby. A lot of restaurants, a supermarket and a bus stop are nearby.

We visited in a rainy January, so the open air kitchen terrace and outside bathroom were cold but we think this would be a wonderful place to stay in warmer, drier weather!

Our host was lovely, friendly and helpful. It was great that he was looking out for us to arrive as the character house was located in a narrow, cobbled street and the entrance was at the back. There was a big car park very close.

I think that in summer it can be less comfortable to rest in the room because the window faces a noisy road and if you sleep with the window open, it will be loud. It is also a dark room (the window faces the mountain), which gets little natural light. But for a short stay, it's a nice place anyway.

It was a very comfortable stay. Despite the winter time, the room had a comfortable temperature (there is a radiator), a comfortable bed with a warm blanket. I like that the house is quiet - you can't hear the housemates. There is a necessary minimum for a comfortable stay (towels, dishes, hair dryer, microwave) and a nice bonus is a guidebook about trekking in the mountains. Federic is very pleasant - he answered my questions quickly and in detail

The only minus is the smell of the damp in the room but it is rather a feature of such a building.

The Holidays Madeira is in the old building and it is the part of tiny old town. You can easily observe local live and enjoy the nature around you. I love São Vicente and levadas there. I recommend this part of the island more than the South. Frederic is so nice, he is really helpful and he is eager to tell you a lot about Madeira. And he takes cleaning seriously :) You can eat on the terrace, you have microwave & fridge. It is simple but I love it. There are only two rooms so it is intimately. It is radiator which is a big plus when you are there during the autumn/winter.
