A bit of effort walking up from the train station with luggage, but there are buses departing closeby to various destinations. The location just outside the city wall was worth it 👌 It's a really lovely hostel with only 6 beds and a private room, kitchen and downstairs lounge. Everything clean and well thought of. It was like living in a home and great to meet the other guests and share a meal. I found it difficult to open the locked key box outside, only because I'm not used to using them, and I was eventually rescued by another guest. Fantastic price and an amazing walled city. I loved my stay and recommend 😀

As there was only one bathroom upstairs, I did have to wait to use it in the evening, even though not many people were there. The room was also a little bit chilly, but since extra blankets were provided, this wasn't an issue once I'd actually got into bed.

This is a really charming hostel with plenty of character - it's an old building and decorated with art etc., so it felt more like a holiday cottage than a hostel. They were happy for me to come before the official check-in time and leave my bag in a locker, so I didn't have to carry it around all day. When I showed up, the owners happened to be there and gave me the key, and then I could let myself in and out after that. Since Óbidos is such a small place, I was never more than a short walk away if I needed to come back and get something. It was very quiet as not many people were staying there at the time. The few guests who were there were very friendly. There was a kettle and free coffee provided.

We enjoyed very much the location and the inspiring decoration and architecture of the house. The living room is very comfortable and the kitchen very handy. The host is very friendly and available.

The house/room felt cold/damp. It would have been helpful to open the window/ balcony door to get some fresh air but it didn't open.

Location was great and Sophia, the cleaning lady was wonderful and so friendly. It was quite as there were only 2 guests. Kitchen is free to use and there is a small veranda in the back to use.

In my opinion the room rate is a little bit high for a dormitory. Also I didn't like the check-in procedures as at my arrival my room key was not in the safe box as previously indicated by text message and I had to ring up the host to get additional instructions to get into the hostel. Apart from that all went smooth and enjoyed my stay there.

I really liked the position of the hostel as well as the cleaness of the place.

The kitchen is not good equipped and the smell in the first floor is very interesting and maybe a little disturbing. Otherwise it was very nice stay.

Rooms were nice, very roomy. The bathroom was clean and nice. We were amazed of decoration around the house. It was very nice stay and we will recomand it. We had realy great time here. The location is great. Near the center and Obidos was our favourite place in Portugal.

The sign on the door has a different wifi password than the sign inside. The sign inside works, you should really update it so that people that need wifi to contact you to get inside can connect (since no one is there to greet you, you need to call a phone number to be let in). Also, you should join WhatsApp so that people without an international phone plan can call on there without being charged a ton of fees. Luckily I had data and messaged the host that I arrived and they sent me the check in instructions thru a message on booking.con PS password is obidos2019 (no exclamation point). You should provide a couple fans for the rooms as they get hot.

Lots of space in the bedroom. Clean bathrooms. Good water pressure. Ran into the cleaner and she was very nice and helpful.

Some problems with access to the building and lack of keys.

Very good location. Great collection of an eclectic range of paintings and ornaments. When there was a problem with the gas supply the manager responded promptly.

Some of the lockers were jammed.

Nicely decorated and confy, it feels like you're at someone's house. The bathrooms are big and the kitchen is equipped for making simple meals.
