Unfortunately not suitable for hikers on the fisherman’s trail. Taxis are hard to get, it‘s 10 € to/from Odeceixe. In winter season there are no beverages available in the hotel, no better restaurants with reliable opening hours in walking distance.

Magnificent luxury hotel in the countryside. Wonderful clean architecture. Exceptionally good breakfast. Very comfortable rooms. Perfect for a hideaway, therefore try to stay longer than one night only!

The outside and parking spaces are really dark at night, could use a bit more light, permanente or with sensors.

Great staff, good breakfast and overall facilities, cleaning as well, good heating. Parking space for all customers.

The layout of the hotel was absolutely stunning! The pool had very comfortable chairs but of course the water was cold ! It’s to be expected in February. The breakfast was perfect. Gluten free options for me as well. Great location to go for hikes.

Everything was meticulous and clean. Each day started on a good note with a proper hot shower and delicious breakfast. It’s been a while since a hotel has exceeded expectations. We went low season (Nov) so it was very peaceful and quiet. Beautiful and thoughtfully designed setting with a pool and gorgeous surrounding fauna. Location was a little further from Odeceixe beach than we expected (a short drive away) but was not an issue as it was so lovely and worth it. Highly recommend.

Best hotel in Portugal! We had the garden villa and another bed room. The furniture, the pool, everything was so great and made with love. We had the pool almost always for our own. It was super peaceful. The staff was super friendly and helpful! The breakfast was fantastic! They had pancakes, eggs in every variation u like, cakes, fruits,...The laundry service was super good. We will come back! =) Thank u for everything!

We had a perfect stay in Monte do Cardal. We were welcomed by André who made sure to provide us with a list of local restaurants and some walking paths to explore in the surroundings. His tips added so much value to our experience as we got to taste delicious food and explore amazing beaches/viewpoints nearby. Rooms were simple but very comfortable and clean. Sunset by the pool is a must if you stay there, to enjoy the beauty around in the most absolute silence.

Nothing , everything was perfect .

Everything was exceptional. Our family were welcomed warmly and we were recommended tasty seafood restaurants to try in the evening. The location was just a short trip away from various beaches and amazing restaurants with outstanding views . The property was almost like a retreat as the ambience was perfectly created to ensure you feel relaxed. The breakfast was the best we have had in Portugal the fruit was delicious, fresh and tasty and the selection of food was perfect .

Monte do Cardal is a beautiful location where you're assured to rest and enjoy the best of the "Costa Alentejana". Easy to find, beatifully equipped and designed, you're surely enjoy staying in the property. The staff is kind and attentious to your needs. I was able to work with the Wi-Fi provided. Highly recommended

Everything was perfectly thought and done with such taste and eyes for details. The space is beautiful , functional and confortável. The breakfast is delicious. The environment is peaceful and in harmony with the landscape.

Our room was obviously not used since a longer time which resulted in some dusty spots and spoiled bottled water. Other guests were quite loud in the breakfast room but the lovely terrace offered us a highly welcomed hideaway. I was missing privacy a bit as our room was open towards the pool area.

Where to start? Very quiet and peaceful settings, not to small and not too big. Outstanding (SERIOUSLY!) breakfast, nice and comfy rooms, the option lo leave our car without any costs even beyond our stay, the friendliness of the staff and the owner (Amazing tips for our trip way beyond the actual area, great!!!). Next to perfection, thank you!

The hotel offered bikes for guests use which we were looking forward to using but the bikes were in terrible shape. Only one out of about 8 or 10 was worthy of riding. They should not continue to offer bikes. Our unit did not face the pool but this was not indicated when I booked the unit. I think the three units that are in the back should be cheaper than the ones that face the pool. We did enjoy the privacy of our unit but the view wasn’t as nice. Two of our three nights, there was a dog from one of the properties nearby that barked ALL night so we could not keep the windows open. It was very weird. This is not the fault of the hotel. It’s such a shame because it’s a very quiet area otherwise.

The breakfasts were outstanding. Absolutely delicious. The staff were friendly, helpful and hardworking. The rooms, pool and surrounding area were beautiful. Fabulous location for exploring the area.
