Stunning view! Parking is free, but limited parking for guests. It was stressful to find a space. Since the location is not central, one would need rental car. We had to go back to hotel by 5p in order to get a space. If after 5pm we walked to go to town for small things we need, and very uphill. Otherwise, the food, staff, room are all good.

Sometimes the noice of groups can be overwhelming. We adjusted in the end time to have our meals so it would have been calmer

The bed wasn’t brilliantly comfortable: quite hard with lumpy pillows. However, you get what you pay for and they do not charge the price you would pay for luxury

Amazing location: right by the beach with access to a few cafe bars along the boardwalk. Also within walking distance of East Funchal. The staff were really pleasant and helpful.

The exhaust fans in bathrooms were not working so all the smell stayed inside. Cleaning service in the rooms nearby started at 8 a.m. making so much noise, so it was impossible to sleep if you want to rest in the morning or after the breakfast. Some food was not tasty and we really expected to have a choice for soups at lunch.

The room was spacious, facing the ocean. The stuff was friendly. Quiet location. It is possible to take food and drinks to your room.

Felt tricked into buying carnival tickets, wasn’t given the full details so wasn’t good. I lost money paying for tickets that I didn’t get to see and wouldn’t give refund

Need to vacuum under the beds, it’s dusty under there!

The hotel is in a good location right by the ocean with our room having a balcony looking out across it. The staff were friendly and helpful, nice touches were a hand written welcome card, and also a cake and another hand written card for my partners birthday 👍🏻 It is easy to get to the rest of the island and you don’t need to drive in to the centre of Funchal each day, but I do recommend hiring a car.

Unfortunately the heating lamps on the buffet were so strong that if food stay there for a while after it's getting so hard and dry that you couldn't even bite it.

Amazing location it was even better than it's look on pictures. Nice view to the ocean, calm area near swimming pool, Jacuzzi. Many tables so you can choose to eat outside or inside. All staff so pleasant and helpful. They called me from reception on second day and asked how it's going withy staying and told that we can book dinner at restaurant at other hotel. Was nice and long drinks menu. At hotel were mostly aged guests and unfortunately evening entertainment were not so interesting

The temperature in the sauna is quite low, and the water in the swimming pool is freezing, you don't want to go in it. You can choose from several soft drinks at meals, but none of them taste good. "Pina colada" cocktail is available just for an extra cost.

The staff is extremely friendly, they help in everything. The rooms are spacious and clean with a beautiful view. The cocktails are especially delicious, 15 is always available (other 5 is premium just for an extra cost). I loved the coffee as well.

It will be helpful to have extraction fans in all the bathrooms. I didn't particularly enjoy the soft drinks or coffee...

The hotel is welcoming with nice greeting gestures and atmosphere, and the staff are all very friendly, professional, and helpful. My special request has been well accommodated, really appreciated that! The triple room/suite is huge and has a gorgeous sea view, we watched beautiful sunset from the balcony, which was really nice. The room is well furnished, it is in old fashioned decoration but maintained in good condition and is very clean. Facilities are good, could be better for a four star hotel, but are ok. Food choices are good. We've seen greater variety elsewhere for equivalent all inclusive hotels, but it is fine. Breakfast was great. Quality of food during lunch and dinner varies though, there are delicious dishes, just not in every meal. New Year's Eve dinner was excellent. We like the location. It may not be ideal for everyone without a car when it is a bit further away from the center, remote and difficult to find even for a taxi fiver, but we love it to be on the sea front, close to the nice black-sand beach, a beautiful handy foot path just outside the hotel along the coast going both ways. The twice a day shuttle bus service provided by the hotel to Funchal was a 5 star service, punctual, big modern coach, good and convenient schedule, it is really helpful. We had a great time staying there for a few days over the new year period and we were very pleased and thankful.

Everything was perfectly good.

Everything was inclusive so we did not pay anything extra. Free sauna, Turkish bath and jacuzzi as well.

Hard to get to other location. There was a courtesy bus into Funchal but it went at 9.30 which a lot of people found too early.

It was a quite outdated and could use some general repairs. The "Italian" restaurant seems a bit over hyped as it's just somebody who comes around with slices of pizza

We were overwhelmed by the room, the virw of the ocean. The bed was extremely comfortable. We enjoyed the time spent in the sauna and as the ocean was 2 steps away, we had a great time by it. The welcome gifts were a real surprise as well. The resort is in the outskirts, but you can reach the city quickly. We appreciated the measures regarding sustainability. . We had an excellent time there. Hope to return soon. 😊
