Unfortunately the cleanliness of the rooms we felt let the hotel down. Our parents kept finding rubbish items that had been left from previous guests that hadn't been cleaned away. Furthermore, although cleaners went in daily, dirty glassware etc wasn't replaced and toiletries weren't replenished. In addition, although we had requested sheets to be changed, our daughter's cot sheet hadn't been changed which was soiled however it was eventually changed upon informing reception.

Staff were very friendly and really interactive with our 11 month old daughter. Facilities were good although could do with a slight freshen up. Food choices were good and a range of restaurants to choose from.

No-one seemed to dance to the disco except for a couple and us ! Took a while to manage the air con. in our room. Dinner was not as good as the breakfast, although there was a variety of foods to choose from.

We loved the swimming pools, the ocean view, a large room, and the garden. Outside the hotel there was a lovely walk along the cliffs with sea views. Good breakfast with a huge variety to choose from.

The set up of the buffet area, the hot service was a bottle neck and the coffee machine at the exit door is a safety issue. New towels would add a touch of luxury

The location was scenic and easy to walk or bus into Funchal.

The entertainment was definitely not for us but we enjoyed the local traditional dancing on our first night . The singers werent bad but sang old songs i guess for older folk ( but i am 60 !)

Loved the salt water pool .food in the buffet restaurant was superb.staff very friendly and clearly love working there.room was spacious and had a lovely view over the gardens and sea.bed linen and towels changed daily and added bonus was a fridge in the room which the details didnt mention

Our room on the first floor did not have a decent view facing the hotel opposite. Also, the hotel room amenities although good were slightly dated. There was no body lotion or creams provided in the bathroom. The flush was not great and needed to be flushed twice everytime.

The service was exceptional and the staff were always helpful. Location of the property was perfect - right by tye seashore with good access to the promenade.

No drinks at dinner you basically forced to pay €4 for a tiny bottle off water which was a let down,The gym has very few old equipment not good enough for a 5 star hotel, would off appreciate cotton buds and toothbrush like most 5 star hotels provide.

Didn’t like the rooms at the side of the hotel. Didn’t get the sun until late afternoon. The buffet dinner was like a school canteen and we didn’t like the atmosphere in there.

Buffet breakfast was good. We walked into Funchal but may be too far for non walkers. Buses available just outside hotel.

The bed i think they should invest in better beds for the hotel as the only thing that is really important. yes they must buy better beds for all the rooms in the hotel.
