The fireplace was not working for the few days that we stayed,we were told that the previous guests have broken it. From memory this has happened to few other guests from the reviews. The house could do with an uplift as paint is peeling off at places.

We had a very pleasant stay, everything you would need for self catering. Pleasant check in. The bed was probably one of the most comfortable ones we've ever slept in. Clean and warm. No TV,which was not a bother for us. On a Sunday there is a local market that we loved to visit and managed to get souvenirs for great prices. We enjoyed the peace and quiet.

Nice old world atmosphere - very relaxed vibe altogether. Woman on reception was lovely. Cooking facilities in the cottages pretty basic but functional. Lawns and gardens well kept. Very close to the village

The kitchen and equipment is a bit dated.

We really enjoyed our stay! The house is surrounded by a beautiful well kept garden and using the terrace was a delight. The interior is cozy, the house warm (thanks to the fireplace) and equipped with all necessities. The house was spotless clean, cleaners are coming every day and they left some fresh flowers. The nearby town is quiet but has a few shops.

The Quinta was very nice. Bed was extremely comfortable. There was a fireplace but we didn't use. Beautiful flowers around the grounds. The location is up in the mountains about 1/2 hour from Funchal. There was a Sunday market in town as well as some small markets and places to eat. A storm Monday night took out the electricity when we awoke in the morning. Very clean place and lots of room. We had a 1 bedroom unit. Was great to have a kitchen and fridge to make coffee in the morning.

Our apartment was just a bit worn down (but very clean) and not really sound proof, we could hear the crying baby next door and even a bit of snoring :)

The garden is very beautiful and very well kept. The cottage like apartments are interesting and very clean. The little balcony has a beautiful view and is really perfect for breakfast or drinks in the evening.

Shower wasn’t the easiest to operate but managed to get it working.

Especially the kitchen feels a bit outdated although everything was very clean. Staying here felt a bit like travelling back in time. Back to a grandeur of the past. But that's not necessarily a bad thing!

We liked everything!

The location was beautiful , we were surrounded by vegetation and we were close to levadas. Great authentic Portuguese experience! The staff and owner were really nice and helpful!

There must be something to be done to the sound proofness of the apartments. You can literally hear everything.

The appartment itself is a little dated, especially the kitchen appliances. The kitchen only has the bare basics to create a simple meal.

Very nice accommodation with a little kitchen. Lovely terrain and extremely friendly personnel. The location is very nice with some restaurants and basic supermarkets around. The owner came to bid us farewell on the last night, which was a very nice gesture.

Good beds, very nice garden area, clean comfortable house with bedroom upstairs, good shower. In a really nice little village where you can stroll around. There were festivities when we were there, nice relaxed atmosphere. Would recommend this place to relax!

The kitchen could be renovated a bit but on the other hand, it helps you feel the spirit of the old house.

The stay is really exceptional because of its type and place. The lady who met us was very nice and showed us the apartment. The area is huge and nicely taken care of. You get an authentic house for your own with 2 bathrooms, kitchen, bedroom and sitting room with a fireplace. There is also a semi private outside yard. Calm and fresh in the evenings.
