Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaThe window opens up to the air of the outside alley and has no glass so use caution. Can be noisy on some nights due to it being on a busy road if window open. Keys can be a bit difficult to open your room. Outside door has a private passcode to get in so no issues of getting in after hours. No elevator so you will have to walk up or down a flight of stairs.
Rooms are simple and small but clean. There are some single rooms with a shared clean bathroom. A hot kettle is provided in the room. Instant coffee, teas, and cookies for free in a jar at lobby entrance and there is a pod coffee machine at front desk for small fee. Microwave and small dorm fridge was in our room. Location is on a hill and has a great pizza shop around the corner, lots of coffee shops, a waffle breakfast place, and a supermarket within walking distance. The trolley goes right by the hotel. We had two twin beds with a separate private bathroom and shower. Room also has a TV with some English channels but we spent most of our time outside exploring the city. Sandra is very nice and informative and will tell you places around the area to visit. She helped me get a car to the airport when going home and she was wonderful info in getting places to see parts of the city that we would normally have not known.

IrelandThe mornings were sometimes noisy because of the location. The shower head fixture was coming away from the wall. The washbasin cabinet door was coming off. It was initially difficult to lock the room door from the inside. However, any issues brought to the host's attention were fixed.
The host was extremely friendly and kind. Any issues I raised with the host were quickly rectified. The location of the room made it very easy to reach the city centre. The room was exceptionally clean.

ItalyThe climate in Lisbon in March was a bit cold and humid, and so was the room. Some heating could help. The bathroom doesn't have a bidet but this was the case also where we stayed in Porto.
The rooms were absolutely clean and appropriate for a short stay. We recommend this place and think we might come back when we visit Lisbon once again. Our host, Sandra, was extremely nice with us and gave us useful suggestions for eating, parking and attractions in Lisbon (fado, for example), being always available for every need.

United States of AmericaThe room was very cold, but was okay because it was really easy to fall asleep! The building is old in general and some of the appliances needed some extra elbow grease.
We were treated with a high level of respect and professionalism. Sandra, the woman who runs this complex, greeted us with open arms and offered helpful suggestions.

GermanyYou could hear some of the guests in the other rooms.
Staff was exceptionally friendly and accommodating and easy to reach. The room price was great for the location, right on one of the historic tram lines. There was complementary coffee and tea. The room has a fridge, a microwave and a water cooker.

IrelandOne or two more sockets for plugging in appliances would have been helpful.
We had a spacious room in the rear of the building away from tram/street noise. Both our room and the public areas of the property were very clean. Complimentary water, tea, coffee and biscuits were provided. Nice location, outside the crowded over-touristed zones but still just 15-20 minutes´walk to the centre of old Lisbon. Friendly, warm and welcoming owner/manager Sandra made us feel at home and provided great restaurant recommendations. She lives onsite and is readily available for guest needs.

Czech RepublicAs soon as we arrived, the host Sandra welcomed us and she was very nice and helpful. She gave us tips for what to do and see in the city and she was super kind throughout our stay. The room was cleaned every day which was really nice and overall it was very comfortable. There was also coffee and cookies for everyone to take in the morning. The location is also perfect and if I go to Lisbon again, I’d definitely come back.
