I booked because of the balcony, which turned out to be a 20 cm strip in front of the room, so beware if you think you can sit outside. There is no one except house keeping staff who don't speak English in case something goes wrong, in my case there was a problem with the pin code to enter. The manageer/owner was not very welcoming in messages or during my stay. Warm water, if you can get it, is very limited.

The guesthouse has a great location and is located in a nice old house. Rooms are small but well appointed.

The room seems much bigger in the photos. Bathroom is very small, not much room to move around. Instructions on how to enter the hotel and room are not updated in Booking.

Great location!. Good bed and an extra blanket. It’s a good place for one night or if don’t care so much about coziness of the room.

If you are driving--in this is true of many small hotels in Portugal in the center of the city – it could be tricky to manage baggage and parking. There really is no easy way to drop off luggage and return after parking. In early November I was able to find street parking relatively nearby, so could manage.

Great location and Margarida on staff was very helpful. My room was small but cheerful and midweek in early Nov no problems with noise from the street outside. I have some mobility issues and had asked for a first floor room, which I received—but be aware there are a flight of steps up from the street if you struggle with stairs. Nice decor and very centrally located with a charming square and 3-4 cafes only steps away.

My brother stayed in room 13. This was very disappointing. There was no hot water plumbed into the sink. There was also a leak in the bathroom and the toilet didn’t flush properly. This room really shouldn’t be available to guests until these problems are sorted out. The other 3 rooms we had were fine.

The PIN code access to rooms and front door is convenient, however, the number 9 on the key pad of the room seemed to be faulty, making it frustrating to access the bedroom. I know that pillows are a very personal issue but all the pillows in the room are so thick and firm that they were impossible to use.

Great location in the centre of town and quiet, probably due to the weather and the time of year. The room is well equipped with a good bathroom and nice toiletries. Being off season it was easy to park close by.

Nice stay, really good position. Just 30 meters from the main square. A little bit loud outside but windows are really good so you don't have a lot of problem with the noise outside. Very comfortable bed.

The location is very central and there is some noise from the people passing by. If you keep the windows closed it is not so noisy, but you need to consider this if you wake up easily. Also there is no air conditioning just a ceiling fan which with the windows closed might be too hot for some people.

One of the reception attendants, does not sit at the reception at all. You can hear her giggling with her friends upstairs, quite loudly, for hours on end, which made us have to shut the windows. We asked to store our luggage after checking out, so she offered to store it behind the front desk, which of course is completely unattended. When we came back to get our valuable luggage, we just took it freely and nobody even noticed. To be fair, there is a bell that you can ring and she comes back down immediately. I don't think that this is a reason to pass on this charming hotel, and the other attendant (who might be the manager) was very friendly, helpful and was there, but I do think that management should address this issue.

The access and stairs are a little bit too narrow, and the bed was not very comfortable.

The location of the apartment is very close to the main square, and you can easily reach the "Praia dos Pescadores". With a little bit more to walk, "Praia da Baleia" is as well super easy to be reached.

The only small drawback was that the walls are very thin so sometimes you can hear other guests. We understand it's an old building in the heart of of the town so it wasn't any problem for us but it's something to keep in mind when booking.

The rooms were very hot and with the location being on the main street you needed to keep the windows open and it was quite loud. A fan or air-conditioning would make this accomodation even more amazing.
