Reception was on the second floor. Other businesses occupied the lower floors. We found this confusing when looking for the entrance. Room small.

The entrance to the hotel is on the second floor of the building, so when you arrive for the first time it doesn't look very pleasant, but after that, you get used to it very quickly and it doesn't bother you.

The hotel is located on a tree-lined street near the city center. The staff was very friendly and accommodated all our requests. The hotel is for those who want to feel the spirit of Lisbon's past!

Very minor details: for example, we can kind of hear the neighbors coming and going, but nothing worth signaling. The rooms are also pretty small and old-looking. And the breakfast could perhaps propose a bit more options (sweet notably). But with all the positive aspects aside of that, I won't complain!

The staff. Whether it was the staff at the reception or the cleaning staff, they were all so helpful and polite. The location: you can't be any more in the center. The breakfast was a plus. The room was very clean. Although they seem old, the rooms are definitely well-maintained.

Breakfast provided a wide range of choices to suit both our needs - cereal and fruit plus toast for me and eggs, ham and cheese rolls for my husband. It was always being kept refreshed when something ran out. The reception staff were extremely kind and helpful arranging transport for us and giving advice.

My room was near the breakfast room which made it a little noisy around 7:00am. The walls are a bit thin so if your neighbor likes to watch TV until 1am you will hear it.

Nice buffet continental breakfast. Comfortable bed, a metro stop is close but you can walk to the main tourist area too. Friendly staff. I would stay here again if I could have a different room.

Small bathroom…but understandable in a lovely old building. For us, it was just one night, so we were okay with it. Breakfast simple, but as a complimentary factor it was okay to take us through until lunchtime.

Location excellent…short walk, taxi ride if required/ buses/tuk tuk etc to attractions.

Unfortunately the breakfast was prepared with quite some noise, therefore I woke up every morning at 7 a.m. Perhaps an earplug solves the issue if you are sensitive to noises like me.

The location is great, just along one of the main street with high end stores, many restaurants and good access to public transport (metro and bus) The room is small but tidy, pretty vintage looking. The rooms which not facing the main road are quiet.

My room's bathroom was uncomfortably small, and getting in and out of the bath can be tricky. A handrail would add safety and give support. The size of the double bed is great, the hardness of pillows and mattress less so. It was painful in the morning. There is no electric outlet near the bed (in the old days that wasn't needed of course).

Great location next to the centre, but with the trees of the avenue in front, close to Avenida metro, and a stroll away from everything. A balcony added to the charm of the dated but functional room, which fortunately has a small minibar and a/c..Reception is welcoming, informative and helpful. And Lisbon, well. A pearl in Europe's crown.

I wasn't able to take advantage of the breakfast because I had to leave too early (5 a.m.). This isn't a fancy hotel with extras. Just basic value.

I was greeted at a reception by a nice gentleman who helped me arrange an early morning taxi to the airport. He was pleasant and efficient. The hotel is a solid, no-nonsense hotel on the 2nd floor of an older building in the middle of a posh shopping street. Prada, Van Cleef, etc. were just down the street. This made for a nice selection of restaurants. I would definitely stay there again. A good vaue.

The building is very worn out. The bathroom door didn’t open very far because it was blocked by the toilet. The mattress was too firm.
