Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Poor breakfast, the omelet ran out 10 minutes after breakfast started and wasn’t refilled again.

The breakfast was good, but there is room for improvement; perhaps some vegetables to accompany the omelet or ham wouldn't hurt.
The hotel's location was very good. The room was spacious and clean (and was kept clean throughout our stay). The reception staff was very friendly helping us with all the information we needed.

I think the photos are a little too exaggerated. We got a room with old renovation and a very small balcony. Not like in the photos.

Not that ideal to go to the center with the wheelchair
Bed was comfortable and the room was adequate. Staff also kept the medication in their fridge since no mini bar was available. Parking was available just opposite.

There is nothing I didnt like. The conditions matched the price and the hotel price. It is hard to park for free around. The hotel is located on a hilly region. The surrounding are not specially pretty and there is no view for the city center.
The hotel is in located in small streets near the city center (10min walking). It is a conventional old school hotel of what you would call a 3* hotel. The staff is very polite. The rooms are small but very clean. The beds are 5/10 on a comfortable scale. There is a small buffet breakfast that is wasn't that much diverse but is adequate to the hotel price. For me it was enough.

Picture of the room showed a power shower but our room had a bath and overhead shower. Wasn't a big issue for us but suggest others might request it if it's what they definitely wanted.
The room was perfect. I requested 2 single beds as I was travelling with my son, and this is what we got. The view from the roof top was amazing. The hotel is centrally located in Leiria and easy to get to everything we wanted. The staff were all very friendly and we were able to leave our bags with them before and after check in/out so we could explore the town at our ease. The breakfast was a lovely continental spread, all very tasty and fresh.

Breakfast was disappointing, very limited choice and the “hot food” was always cold - not even lukewarm but cold - even when the staff would bring out a “fresh” batch (we had breakfast on two separate days and same thing happened). Tv in the room was very small.
Private parking was very convenient, close to city centre and restaurants. Quiet at night which was perfect.

No refrigerator in room Some smell in bedroom which staff immediately tool action and sprayed the room, besides also allowing us to see if another room would be better suited.

We liked everything. Spacious room. Great location, only 6 minute walk to city centre. Lift to all accommodation floors, with one flight of stairs to roof terrace with good view. Staff very helpful. Excellent breakfast included. Off street parking adjacent to Hotel with boom gate was free. Wi-Fi good.

Easy to find, clean hotel with free off street parking nearby. The rooms are big and comfy. Breakfast had nice selection of options. Also staff got us espresso coffee from the bar area on request as it wasn't available from the machine in the breakfast room.
