Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United Kingdomprevious stays drinks were self service-now like it was being rationed when poured out. food-not as much choice and variety as on previous occasions-usually have salad bar and bigger choice of hot dishes breakfast-only plates available were tea plates-small -think this was a cost cutting exercise. when we arrived -stated needed accessible room and had asked when booking some months before as well as sending seperate message to hotel about this. Man on reception implied we might not get-had it not been for the porter who was most helpful don't think we would have got the accessible room and as I am disabled can not do stairs which the porter said he thought we would have had to dohad he not intervened which would have meant going to another hotel.
accessible room-good bed very comfortable food was good although not a lot of variety as in previous stays

United KingdomThe hotel is geared up mainly for golfers so there were lots of groups of all men drinking a lot. There was no kettle in the suite to make tea, not so easy to keep going up and down to the bar after putting the children to bed or first thing in the morning before getting to breakfast.
Beautiful tasteful interior design. Great food. Amazing house wine. Friendly staff. One bed suite was enormous with loads of room to unpack. Large bed which was very comfortable. Walkable distance to the Marina.

United KingdomIt is looking a little run down when you look close, plaster peeling in wetter areas, some mold on spa ceilings etc The three outdoor pools were not heated so quite cold, and had fallen debris from the trees in them so not the cleanest at that time of year. We were told hotel was closing for winter soon so pools would be emptied. The hotel doesn’t have a lot of good signs, so we got lost a bit, and the introduction to the hotel should include info like go down for the pool as we were looking for ground floor access but it’s below that level.
The property was a good size, with plenty of space in the bars and restaurant. The rooms were big with decent beds and each one had a small balcony. The indoor pool was slightly heated, and sauna was nice. Staff were friendly and helpful when asked questions etc There was entertainment on some of the nights which was quite good in the bar.

United KingdomIndoor pool made my eyes sore. The spa was quite pricey. Arcade needed to be bigger and have better games.
Good selection of breakfast. Friendly staff. Beach is only a 10 minute walk. The hot chocolates were the best hot chocolates I’ve ever had. Spacious bedrooms.

Portugal-Dont get me wrong but for a 5 star hotel there was missing a lot of things, starting with the food, there was plenty of choices between meat and fish and a lot of side dishes, but it was missing the 5 start detail, for example, no fresh omelete making at the breakfast, no natural juice, no options for lactose intolerants or celiacs. We've been in lower stars hotels where they had much more options, so we dont understand why a 5 star hotel dosent have it...its such a basic thing. For the lunchs and dinners, the same think, there was always more than 2 dishes available, but the quality of the ingreedients and presentation was a bit down. Restock was also bad, especially for the drinks, it happen more than 3 times we went for beer and cidra and the barrel was empty, nobody came to replace it, even though we waited, endup giving up. I would rate the food a 7 out of 10. -The staff needs urgently a proper training, most of them dont know what they are doing, no motivation at all nor interest of being there. If you ask for something like a bottle of water, some they replyed has they are making us a favor bringing it to the table, some were in fact rude and making a unnecessary comment (like Joaquim from the restaurant). There is no rigor in service which should be expect onto a 5 start hotel. -Animation at night was a nightmare, no sense at all, no organization, just went with the flow...
-Room was very big with ensuite bathroom, also had a large living room with its own bathroom, which was quite handy -Althoug we havent used it, we had free acess to the spa (climetized indoor pool, sauna..) -Drinks were in fact a positive point, contrary to most of comments here, we had acess to the premium drink selection which was nice

United KingdomWe booked a Family Book with interconnecting rooms, however in one of the rooms there was no cupboard/wardrobe to store our clothes and luggage, nor was there any plug sockets that were conveniently located near the beds, there was only one by the tv stand. We had a mini fridge which we didn't realise because it was camouflaged into the walls although a good surprise (we just didn't know). The bed was super uncomfortable, it was way too soft for my bad backache. I informed the hotel and they managed to switch it to another bed, but it still wasn't a whole lot better, but I survived. There were also a few young men who'd come back late and were super loud which wasn't ideal.
The exterior of the resort itself was beautiful, it definitely looked 5*. This also extended to the interior. Reception and restaurant staff were super friendly and helpful. The food at the buffet restaurant was also surprisingly good, and I'm glad they also had some traditional Portuguese food as opposed to continental/british food. Enjoyed the games room, although was a bit small. The two pool and indoor swimming pool were also decent size.

NorwayThe pool area requires more cleaning in general, the place is generally a bit worn out and require a bit of a refurbishment especially outside like relaxation zone, tennis court, otherwise everything is ok

United Kingdomlighting not very good -but never is in a hotel. Had to walk up ramp to get to room although it was not far from the ramp. Couldn't find any cold milk for tea-may have been some but didn't see.
room - or should I say suite -excellent-very large lounge and bedroom, one bathroom and large wet room with all disabled aids.large tv in each room and balcony in each room. round dining table and chairs in lounge with 2 easy chairs-fridge and plenty of storage-i.e. wardrobe space. breakfast -everything you needed. stay was only overnight prior to going into a villa so did not sample amenities much.

United KingdomOur stay was generally a very positive experience. Sometimes the food in the buffet was a little cold for my preference but it was tasty and there was always something to eat.
The food was nice and good selection. Excellent range of desserts and fruit. Location was perfect for our needs. Quiet and calm but close to the beach and the shuttle bus to town was a very good service. Plenty of sun loungers and parasols around the pool. Staff were very friendly and were excellent with our baby.

IrelandThe bathroom in our room could do with updating, the shower door wasn't secure so water poured all over the floor. The beach is a bit further away than I thought. We just got taxis into the old town and went to beach there so not really a problem. (Reception will phone a taxi 10e to old town)
The hotel is really big but yet lovely and quiet by the pool with plenty of sun loungers and space in the pool. The lobby and bars are nicely decorated and very clean. The food selection was good, fresh with loads of variety. The bbq was a nice touch. Staff were helpful and friendly.

United KingdomMaintenance is required throughout the hotel, trees around pool need dead leaves and berrys cutting off. Small cups/glasses for drinks. Sandwiches at snack bars not covered, so bread stale, food selection in evening not great chicken drumsticks instead of breast meat lots of fish. Entertainment not great in the evenings. Only 2 plug sockets worked in whole 1 bed apartment.
Rooms were a good size, perfect for what we needed. The beds were comfortable, and the air conditioning worked well. Fridge in room and new bottled water daily. Coffee from machines was nice. Puddings great.

NetherlandsWe found the dining experience quite uncomfortable. Very loud with a lot of screaming children (I know no fault of the hotel) but the restaurant area was echoey with slamming cutlery which meant we didn’t stay long at meal times. Wine was also average and no options. Also coffee in the morning wasn’t good and I love my coffee. Cocktails were plentiful, but machine made so lacked any personal touch.
Rooms were lovely and big (probably biggest hotel room I’ve ever had), very comfortable beds. There’s a tennis court and they kindly had free racquets and balls to use which we really enjoyed. Pool is also beautiful with lots of sun beds around and well maintained (no broken sunbeds or tiles as some reviews said). Lots and lots of food. Short walk to a beach was nice at sunset.
