If you are a frequent traveller, you know that the boarder line between slum and charming is very fine, in this case it was definitely on the charming side. The flat is located on the first floor on a square in the oldest part of Porto, with relatively easy parking facilities (2 hour limits during the day from 08:00 to 20:00 on the square, but just round the corner it was free all day long. All I can say is that my wife and I will book the same place when we go back in the spring!

The location was fantastic about a 10 minute walk from Sao Bento train station. A five minute walk from good restaurants and bars. The apartment had everything you needed good kitchen and washing machine. Lovely comfortable bed and good storage in the bedroom. The apartment has be looked after and is spotlessly clean.

Apartment was easy to find, the location is superb! Nice traditional style flat with all amenities necessary. I guess it may get quite warm in hot weather, but the fan supplied does its job. Hosts are very polite and quick to respond.

Excellent location, nice and clean. A short walk down into the city or just up and along to Clerigos. Apartment was a great base for exploring and had the right facilities for a short break

There was some sort of establishment nearby where local people got a little loud at night. Not unbearable but definitely noticeable at night.

I saw several complaints about street noise in the previous comments, but when I stayed there, this was really not an issue. The apartment is located in a residential area. The only annoying noise during my stay was from people staying in the apartment above me, who kept walking back and forth until 11pm. Luckily, this was only in the first night (out of 4) so I did not have any problems after that!

The apartment is great, with a great location in the heart of the historic centre of Porto. The decoration is super cute. I absolutely loved it!

Very noisy street bellow the apartment, rubish bins being collected especially at midnight, seagulls always screaming the whole night, you couldnt sleep with your windows open at all. The closest grocery 15 mins.

Nice apartment in the city centre. Great for couple of friends, has everything you need, clean and only on the first floor.

Neighbours very noisy in the middle of the night. Refuse dumpsters outside the windy so noisy in the night with people deposit rubbish and the municipal collection. I did not realize the apartment location was different to the booking location, however this was a better location with less steps.

We liked everything and would definitely consider another stay! One little note though: The neighbors seem to be house bound (elderly?) and you can hear the TV through the bedroom wall pretty much all day. It wasn't very loud and did not bother us, at night we just used the fan to drown out the noise.

Location was great. Easy start to enjoy the city by foot. Good parking garage very close (Parque de estacionamento Saba Palácio da Justiça), online prebooking at highly reduced rate available! The washing machine was fantastic to have, although a larger drying rack and additional clothes pins would have been great Friendly host with great communication via WhatsApp.

Kitchen lacked some things we could have used. Toaster didn’t work, only a stovetop espresso pot , so coffee press for coffee would have been nice. Walls are a little thin in bedroom so could hear tv and voices in next apartment.

Everything was perfect, though my only complain were the paper-thin walls of the bedroom, which mean you can hear the neighbours watch TV the whole day until late at night. If you tend to sleep deeply, it shouldn't be an issue however.

The location of the apartment is right in the centre of the old town which is really ideal. Beautiful apartment to stay in and the host is very attentive and gives super clear instructions to get into the apartment.

For the value for money objective I would say that none.

This is the second time I stayed at the property and it is an excellent value for money. Located at the historical center and close to all the attractions, restaurants and coffee shops. For the ones giving value to location, this is an excellent spot.

One special compliment to the host - we left some cash in the room at the end of our stay and he called us to organise either that we could come back and collect it or he even suggested that if that was not possible he would arrange to transfer it to our bank account. Such incredible honesty is not often encountered these days.
