Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

Living room, all walls, all doors outdated. No kitchen, just a shelf with dirty ustensils. Apartments needs to be updated

Booking this place is 100% worth it just for the location. When great rooms and awesome hosts are added to that, it becomes a real gem. We were allowed to leave our bags in there as we waited for our train which was in the evening, so that was a nice perk. Thank you so much!

The only thing that was missing was a place for smokers but at the same time this is a thing about commodity ( you can smoke at the entrance of the building)
The location is very good, right in the center of the city. The apartment is spacious, clean, and comfortable. The host was very helpful regarding the check-in information and gave us some tips regarding the parking locations which is close to the apartment but not overpriced.

No sink in the kitchenette (only in the bathroom).
Great location. They let us keep our bags there during the day after we checked out because our train wasn’t until 9pm, which was great. Spacious. Clean.

Doesn't really have an actual kitchen space (stove and sink) and the water kettle was not functioning. Small matter, it was not a problem. Has a microwave, basic utensils and small fridge
The location is superb! I would say the accommodation was clean and it was such an easy check-in. I am happy to have found this place because we had an issue with the first accommodation when we reached Brasov and found this. Saved us! it is in the city centre and there are restaurants around it.

There should be at least a few more cups and glasses and a water boiler if not a coffer maschine, in order to at least be able to prepare a coffee or have a drink. The windows with window to the corridor are not very bright and ventillated.
Very central location, smooth check-in, parking next to the apartment (but around 100 Lei from evening to morning), nice stylish bedroom with bed on a pallet, good price.

we didn’t appreciate the drilling in the very early morning, not sure what was the reason. we were waken up around 4 with in and off drilling noise.
is a Very nice vintage property and good value for money. only suggestion would be an update to the carpet and maybe add a little kitchenette? overall a very nice property.

The bathroom looked old in comparison with the rest of the house
The beds were nicely decorated and comfortable; there was so much light in the rooms; the couch was extendable , the kitchenette was well equipped, the location was amazing and the wi-fi worked perfecy

Parking lot is a bit expensive.
The place of the hostel is great. It was so clean and the owner was very nice. If you come to Braşov don't worry about the rent.

Everything was perfect. The location, the design, the beds and also the communication with the host. We even had a dozen of Hungarian TV channels, which was a great suprise. Great value for your money.

It was a bit cold during the night, but you can cover yourself with a blanket and won’t feel the cold anymore! Would love if the host could provide more blankets and towels for a bigger group as it wasn’t enough for all of us.
Very spacious and cozy apartment. It’s right in the centre of the city which I found a huge advantage. It’s a bit more difficult to find a parking lot, but there’s a private parking next to the hostel. Very equipped, you have everything you need. Really nice host as well!
