Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Extremely warm, generous, and accommodating hosts. Wonderful backyard to relax in with lots of greenery and outdoor seating. Inside, really nice to have access to a full kitchen as part of main home, and all facilities, bathrooms, etc were very clean. The room was quiet and Ac in our room was nice to have. The host invited us to sample their traditional Romanian homemade liqueurs and they were delicious. The property is about a five minute walk to the downtown area, citadel, etc. We just had a wonderful stay here. Thanks again!

Location(easy walking distance to clock tower and old town) Room and kitchen facilities(Every little detail is thought out for guest's convenience and comfort) You can help yourself different kind of fruit brandy (mostly home made, I believe) stocked in the common kitchen/dining area. We liked home made pear brandy best. There are a few garden patios for use in good weather. This was by far the best stay during our 2 week trip in Romania.

Everything was great
Very cosy and comfortable. Very close to the city center ( 10 min. walking). Big space, big bathroom. Our host was very polite and helpful, his mother was an excellent lady. Great asset the safe parking lot. Great garden and fully equipped kitchen.

We cannot recommend Casa Vanatorului enough - it has thoroughly exceeded all of our expectations. To keep it brief, the host was always readily available for any of our requests and super friendly, willing to talk to us about the city and tell us about its history and good places to dine. Moreover, the quality of the rooms was exceptional - impeccably clean and spacious (especially the huge bathroom). The accommodation also has a common kitchen area, with all utilities one can possibly need - fridge, coffee maker, oven etc. The garden is quite large as well, perfect for either a barbeque or a relaxing afternoon in the fresh air. Did I mention it is also in walking distance from the city centre? (5 minutes) So, do yourself a favor and stay here for your trip to Sighisoara, we were absolutely delighted and will surely visit again!

Gorgeous garden, spacious & comfy room, free apples & walnuts to snack on, kitchen & picnic area is beautiful, plus a very friendly host. Sighişoara is a pleasant little town, deserves 2 nights to see it, or extra time if one wishes to go hiking in the surrounding mountains.

Casa Vanatorului is a very beautiful, large and clean location. From the moment we entered, the host introduced us to the story behind the pension, he told us about hunting and family, the house being full of vintage objects belonging to the family. The furniture is special. Bogdan, our host, recommended us where to eat, what to visit, he was very warm in behavior and generous in speech. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need, including an espresso machine that makes a very tasty coffee that can be served on the many terraces in the garden. The backyard is very large being made up of individual spaces if you want privacy. We were accommodated in room number 1, spacious room tastefully furnished. The bathroom is individual and huge, equipped with absolutely everything you need. The attention to detail made the difference, in the bathroom there is also micellar water and cleansing disks, shaving foam, deodorant, just like at home. We warmly recommend Casa Vanatorului from Shighisoara.

Staying at Bogdan's place was wonderful. He was kind, genuinely caring, and always willing. to help, while giving us all the privacy and independence we needed. The first night he had a BBQ for all the guests and friends in the backyard! We tried delicious pork and schnitzel but the highlight was wild bear meat! it was amazing! Two days later, our 11-month-old baby was feeling uneasy and we thought she could have a year infection. I sent a message to Bogdan about calling a pediatrician, and 15 mins later he shows up with the pediatrician to our door. She was his neighbor. OUTSTANDING, thanks Bogdan! In the medieval little town of Sighisoara, this is the best place you can find. We were happy to find kind Romanian people, and be able to interact and make friends. The rooms were clean and the last century's Roumanian paraphernalia gives the place a cute flair. We also had all the utensils, and kitchen tools you might need! The location is perfect as well!

It is a great property with an excellent location, only a few minutes walk from the old town. Restaurants, bars, shops are all within walking distance. The owners are very friendly and helpfull and try to help out with anything you need. The room was very spacious and spotlessly clean. Its a place where you feel welcome from the moment you enter the door!

It was on the higher end for my budget but the hospitality and comfort made it worth the cost to me.
The backyard sprawls up the hillside and there were plenty of nooks for me to spend time alone outside, or talk with other lovely guests.

Bogdan is an excellent host. Our family of 5 very much appreciated his hospitality. Space outside in back to relax, BBQ, kid-friendly bow and arrows. City restaurants and tourist attractions are only a 500 meter walk away. Perfect rooms, clean beds.
