Bathroom hygiene could be better, there was a rather unpleasant smell coming from the sewerage. The shower curtain could be replaced with a cleaner new one.

We didn't have wi-fi in our bottom floor room because we couldn't get the password from the staff.

Gornjak monastery and restaurant are located in a beautiful gorge of Mlava river surrounded with hills and forests, yet still quite close to Belgrade. So this is a perfect getaway spot from the polluted city, there are many nice forest trails nearby. The restaurant exceeded our expectations: the food was very tasty and portions were large. The rooms are also fine, cozy and very well heated.

This place was excellent! Located in a stunning part of Serbia, it was comfortable, clean and convenient. The beds were very comfy and the balcony over the river was great. Restaurant is very good too. Fantastic value for money.

Great location to explore the area. Loved the balcony facing the river below. The river sounds were just enough to block out any noise from neighbors or noise from the restaurant above. Loved having the restaurant on site. The restaurant and housekeeping staff were gracious and kind.

This place is perfect, we booked one night but stayed one more night because we fell in love in this hotel and its surroundings. There are a lot of hiking trails that start just from the hotel, nature is beautiful, the view from the room was fantastic. The staff is super nice and the restaurant is also great, but the portions are too big! you need to share one, because the portions are made for two persons.

There was actually a missunderstanding and our bookonig was canceled the night before our trip. However, the staff went above and beyond to recommend a good alternative and provided us with a free meal to compensate for the missunderstanding. The place looks great and next time we head to Zdrelo we will stay here, or at Magnolia.

The heating system didn't work first night or it was off. Although we got extra blankets it was a bit cold during the night. On the second night , heating was on. Even though the food in restaurant is great, I would recommend to make some menu change and to add couple of vegan meal choices.

The mattresses could be more comfortable. They are not bad but I didn't enjoy sleeping on them and had back pain from time to time. They sometimes organise evenings with extremely loud live music for local visitors in the restaurant. It only happened one night during our stay but it was very unpleasant since the rooms are right below and have no sound proof. Even if we wanted to have our meal in the restaurant, wich was out of the question due to the noise wich literally gave us headache, it wouldn't be possible since all the tables were occupied. On the other hand, we had our meal delivered to our room by the pleasant waiter so we didn't stay hungry but the loud music continued until midnight. I don't think that's fair to the guests of the hotel who come to stay with an idea of peace and calm in the nature. The heating was normally great but on the night of the party in the restaurant it was turned off early in the evening and we made a complaint to the manager who immediately turned it back on. The nights are pretty cold and I don't understand why it happened in the first place.

Gornjak hotel&restaurant is located in the heart of the Gornjačka gorge, surrounded by forrest, on the bank of Mlava river, facing the medieval monastery Gornjak but also on the main road and easily accessible, with sufficient parking places. The rooms are clean and comfortable, with big balconies facing the monastery. The food is exceptional, very tasty, home-made, portions are big and can be shared. The staff are plaesant, flexible and disposable at all times. The last morning of our stay I wasn't feeling well and the manager had pleasantly allowed us to vacate the room later, with no extra charge for the late check out. There are lots of walking tracks around the facility, well marked with descriptions of the lenght, time needed to get to the final point and level of difficulty. There are lots of cultural, historical and natural beauties to visit in the vicinity of the pansion, not more than 10-20km away, by car or bike - the ride is gorgeous!

If owner want to smoke, it's better to sit where are other smokers, not in dining room for non-smokers.

Menu wasn't available in english. However, a waiter speaking english was very friendly and of much help.

Very comfortable and well equipped rooms. The restaurant is superb, considering quality, service and serving size. Exceeded our expectations by far. It was the best restaurant we've visited in 2 weeks of travelling through Serbia.
