No lock on the door!

The room was a very good size, the bed was comfortable and the staff were lovely!

The lack of a standard lock on the bedroom door caused me considerable anxiety. To be told prior to arrival that if I didn't get there before 10.20pm then I would not be admitted was a real worry.

I had a lovely big room. It was shabby but clean. Breakfast is a beautifully presented feast.

The bathroom outside one of our two apartments was really tiny, but this is clearly communicated in advance, so no problem.

We had a great time at the accommodation in Stockholm. The service provided by the staff was excellent and very nice. The breakfast was great! The location is a bit far from the center, but that was no problem at all thanks to the good bus and ferry connections. We would love to come back again - thank you very much!

I found the weird secondhand furnishings jarring. It was like I was in a college rental. The kitchen counter in the room is made up of random boards blocking a door. The furnishings in the room could use a sprucing up. The street traffic noise was terrible. The entrance to the property is on a very busy street and not easy to find. There is a trellis over the entry gate that is low and makes it look like it does not lead to a parking area.

No lock on the door. Window without curtain in the bathroom. No personal touch. Stains on several textiles. You expect a place to be clean.

Location is great, but that is it. You are not greeted and treated like you should be by a host. You feel like a number (them making easy money). I emailed the host before arrival but no response until the day after I arrived. I tried emailing AND phoning the host during my stay, delayed response. There was no lock on the door to the room. Near the shower a small window without curtains. (Showing of your lower part of your body if you did not pay attention.) There were stains on the bedcover, the blinds and on the table cloth. I decided to leave two days early and I have never had such an impersonal experience. They just don’t care. The host knew that my mum was in the hospital, but no private note was taken nor empathy shown.

The room we stayed was SUPER COLD given the number of blankets and also the private bathroom was too small that you could barely sit properly on the toilet and the washing hand sink was also super small you couldn't even wash your face.

The house was pretty and very clean room with everything organized.

If you expect a B&B experience, you may be in for a disappointment. While the owner is very kind, unfortunately you will also be made to feel that you are in someone else's house, just renting a room. I was sternly advised that the sitting room in front of my door, and next to the guest breakfast table, is private and belongs to the family, not available for use. I was also reprimanded for looking for the owner in the kitchen, after being asked by telephone to wait for the owner and make sure I pay the bill the very first night - which I duly did, given the owner seemed very concerned about getting the payment sorted out. Finally, when I politely asked whether some shampoo was available, for use in the private bathroom I had booked, I was met with disbelief and told that 'Shampoo is not included'. Shampoo was though kindly provided afterwards. Anyway, if you care about your room only and do not seek anything else out of a B&B experience - like connecting with the locals - , the place is absolutely fine. Keep in mind that you are indeed well connected with Stockholm by frequent public transportation, but it's still a good 30 minutes, with a relatively long-walk transfer between bus and metro, and a busy busy route at rush hour - once you are in the city, you will not want to come back just for a rest.

Comfy beds, location close to public transport, cleanliness. You will have no complaint about the room and the quietness of the location, close to a very busy street but nevertheless very silent. Possibility to walk to a beautiful lake nearby.

Very good location close to the city center. Just 15min away. Free parking which is great when you visit Stockholm by car. Spacious room, kitchen well equiped. Bathroom a bit small but has everything you need.
