Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Property needs some renovation.. water did not go away in the shower..
Bed was comfortable, but I did not use pillow.. too big and hard for me :) Helpful staff, morning coffee is great touch.

Most rooms didn't seem to have aircon, and location is very far from the city. It's closer to the airport, but trains from Chinatown to the Airport aren't difficult to get.
Cheapest I could find, which is nice. Staff and guests were really friendly and had a much more 'hostel' vibe. It was a good time

It is not central to the city, but the quarter itself is really nice. So either you stroll aong there or you need the public transport to go somewhere else, what is very easy. It is perfect close to the airport.
The staff was very helpful and had a lots of good information for us. There was a very friendly atmosphere among them, what helped also the guests to relax. In addition to that, they had a good locker system, with private lockers outside the room and a video observation of these lockers.

Guest to bathroom ratio wasn't great, but it wasn't too bad. It's slightly out of the way from some of the main sites, but transit is nearby and it's easy to get everywhere. It's also close to the airport and many affordable places to eat (personally loved the location, up to your preference). Wifi doesn't work in the upstairs rooms but it does encourage everyone to hangout and chat in the lounge.
Very social, amazing staff, beds were comfy and everything was cleaned regularly. Overall great place, would definitely stay again

- Wifi needs to be better - my bed was double booked. When I came home in the middle of the night, there was another man sleeping there. Staff handled the situation quite well. After some time they gave me another bed and gave me the money back for this night.

Just the breakfast … was modest. Not really worth paying for. Just white bread and some available spreads.

Lounge is a bit cramed.

Beds are a little dingy and the wifi could not reach the top floor but hey a few $$$ for a couple nights accommodation with free breakfast will go a long way.
Best value for money in this very expensive city. The guys manning the reception were very helpful and chatty.

Not the best hostel's bedroom: no WiFi, no power plug near each bed, air conditioning too strong at night and coming directly to the upper bed, not the most confortable bed but ok, too many beds in a small room. Bathroom always wet. But still a good value for money, not expensive in comparison to other options in Singapore.
Nice staff, great breakfast, cool common area. Interesting location in a popular/local neighborhood quite lively with a lot of commerce (and 10-15min by walk from the metro).
