We had a great stay at hotel Astoria. The staff was really nice. The accommodation was beautiful and the breakfast service was lovely and had a selection of sweet and savoury foods to indulge in, as well as fresh fruits and juices.

The breakfast is absolutely incredible! Plenty of options for vegans and vegetarians too. There is a hotel cat who is very sweet and has a little bed in the corner of the breakfast terrace. We loved that the hotel has an ecolabel Our room felt very luxurious :)

I'd suggest to triple-check the prices if you order any kind of a transfers in the hotel reception - the prices in the TV-hotel channel were at the time of our stay outdated and the person at the reception also didn't have the most up-to-date info. A difference of a few € is not actually a problem. The problem is rather an unpleasant surprise and an awkward conversation with the driver (yes, you pay the driver, not the hotel).

The hotel is located just about 3-4 minutes walking distance from the lake. Our room (Superior Double Room with Balcony) has surprised is with a separate sleeping room. This has made the stay, even though for just one night, very pleasant. We could park the car free of charge - there is a parking garage at the back of the hotel and there are also parking places outside in front of the hotel. The staff was very friendly and there was no problem with us leaving the car in the garage after checking out, while we went to visit the Vintgar gorge. The breakfast was good with a plentiful selection.

The 'public areas' are a little lacking, i.e. there isn't a public lounge area, just the dining room and the terrace; although the terrace more-or-less makes up for this.

Hotel Astoria is a large, modern, well furnished hotel with excellent air conditioning (important in a heatwave). The staff are excellent, there is car parking, and the evening meal in the hotel restaurant was very good indeed and good value for money. The location is a couple of roads back from the waterfront, which is a good thing as it means you can sit on the hotel terrace in the evening unaccompanied by the mosquitoes which inhabit the waterfront. Overall, this is an excellent hotel, which I would certainly choose again.

Great location, free parking and very friendly staff. Rooms were clean and recently renovated, comfortable beds and quiet. Lake bled just walking distance away and found the staff extremely friendly, they even allowed us in for breakfast late one morning.

The carpets in the hallway, staircases and rooms are worn (torn and/or stained in some places), look thus a little outdated and could use a replacement. But that’s really a minor complaint. At 10:05 the breakfast staff switch off lights and music to notify you that breakfast is over. This could be done in a more polite way. Bled in general is very pricy (and ouverrun by tourists since 2018) which is also true for hotel prices.

Very centrally located hotel close to the bus station and the lake with nice lake view rooms (depending on your booking). Our room was huge with a nice, modern and comfy bed (duvet was rather thick/warm for hot summer nights), air conditioning and a clean and modern bathroom. The breakfast buffet had a vast variety of choices, nicely presented and generally quickly refilled when empty. Staff generally friendly, especially at our check-out. Even printed our train tickets because we forgot to do so. Luggage storage was possible, very helpful. Naljepšna hvala!
