First things first: the apartment is way beyond expectancy. What you see from the photos is just e peak to what you will find. I never write reviews because there is always something wrong so I just avoid doing any. This time I have to describe the awesome experience I had since everything was perfect. Starting with the host which was very kind: showed me the apartment, gave advice on everything and was up to every question asked. Don’t bother getting a bottle of water or coffee because you will find illy coffee and illy X7.1 coffee machine to greet you (the fridge had everything from water to wine to redbull, beer and juices). I forgot to get cookies for breakfast but I found a closed box in the closet waiting for me. The apartment is spacious, has everything you may need: iron a t-shirt, laundry machine, bang & olufsen stereo, occitane toiletteries, extremely spacious wardrobe. Windows have views on the plaza and river. The position is the best you can find. This is not the kind of apartment where you will find ikea furniture: you get designer furniture from Vitra cardboard chairs to Sepic lamps. Every details is throughoutly cured. You can see this is a designer apartment. If you ever stay in Ljubljana, I couldn’t recommend anything better from the quality to the position and availability of the host. A must stay. Totally recommend and will definitely come back. 10+

The curtains are sheer so it’s very bright early in the mornings so I recommend to pack a sleep mask.

Host was super friendly and welcoming. The apartment is impeccable, very spacious and beautifully renovated and the location could not be better. Very soundproof so although there are many restaurants below the noise is completely blocked out which is amazing. if you are visiting Ljubljana you must book this place, it will not disappoint.

This was a wonderful place to stay. It was right in the middle of the old town and very close to everything else. We were met by the owner by our parking place (we had a car which can't come into the area since it's pedestrianized). He helped us take out luggage to the apartment and then showed us all the features it had to offer. There was some goodies to get us started in the fridge and a fancy Italian coffee machine in the kitchen. It was a great kitchen for a visit although we ate out much of the time so didn't make use of all its features. The hidden toilet/laundry room was brilliantly executed and we were very happy to be able to do some laundry while we were there. We liked being able to have the windows open so we could hear the happy noise of people having fun but when we wanted quiet, all we had to do was shut the windows and then we couldn't hear any noise at all. There was a computer, an adapter and a tv and sound system in the apartment - all of which were very convenient.

The shower lost hot water in the evenings after a short amount of time. Otherwise everything was great!

The location was perfect - central and easy to get around in pedestrianised area. Lively during the day and evening with restaurants and bars nearby but exceptionally quiet overnight with no traffic.

We weren't instructed on how to sort our trash and recycling until we were ready to leave, and there are only two bins, so we probably did it wrong (sorry, Matevz). The dining chairs look cool, but are a little bit unstable.

This is a clean, beautiful apartment with great character, very nicely renovated. Lots of light. Good art on the walls. We enjoyed meeting the super friendly host Matevz, who allowed us to check in early. He provided (in writing) lots of great recommendations of where to shop for groceries and where to eat in town. Excellent bed, kitchen is fully stocked, even with a complimentary bottle of wine and various soft drinks, coffee and tea. Also lovely toiletries! Location is perfect, right in the center of town but mostly quiet (totally quiet with windows closed). There are some restaurant terraces down below. It's in a pedestrian zone, but you can easily walk to the nearest driving zone. The town also has small electric vehicles you can hitch a ride with. We didn't try that however. The price is in line with the local hotels, but you get a MUCH nicer space to live in. FYI, it's two flights up, no elevator. Easy stairs though, they are not steep. Matevz met us outside and helped with luggage. We really loved our stay here.

Nothing: it was perfect

Beautiful apartment, every comfort provided, excellent shower, A/C with windows that block all noise so it’s like an oasis of calm but in a great central location. Walking distance to everything. Exceptional host: it was like staying in the home of a friend who has good taste and is very thoughtful. We loved the artwork, design & decoration of the apartment, too. Matevz is simply the best host with the most ideal apt we’ve yet encountered over 2 decades staying in holiday rentals. He really has anticipated everything you might need while staying, and then some. He even created a simple book summarizing how to use all the appliances at a glance so you never have to trawl through manuals to make your morning coffee. 5⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️+

Everything was more than perfect and we are absolutely in love with our experience at fish square. It was truly exceptional! The only constructive criticism we have is that it would have been even nicer if Spotify was installed on the Mac in the apartment. :D

Words can hardly describe how perfect this apartment is. We have been traveling a lot over the past years and we have to say that we have never stayed in an apartment this well equipped and thought through. Everything in the apartment had an incredibly nice scent. The bathroom was equipped with high quality beauty products. All towels and bath robes were so fluffy. The location is dreamy, right in the center of old town, only a 2min walk from the central plaza with countless bars, restaurants, super markets, bakeries and tourist attractions surrounding it. Other than the impeccable accommodations of the apartment, the host was a delight. He was always reachable by text and went the extra mile to make us feel right at home. Not only did he let us drop our bags before our actual check in time, he actually showed up at the door step on my birthday to gift us a bottle of premium slovenian sparkling wine. We will definitely return when we get the chance - the apartment alone is worth a visit to Ljubljana. Thank you for the wonderful stay!

We stayed in the beautiful designed flat at new years eve. Everything was extraordinary. The owner even brought us an extra coffee mashine because the other one had a problem. We definitly want to come back.
