Great place to stay in a really beautiful village! The hosts were more than accommodating and organised a place to eat for us as well as transportation which was really helpful because we weren’t travelling by car and were travelling before the season. Great breakfast as well!

Perhaps some sort of bathroom amenities that tie into products unique to that area. I was also a little sad that there wasn’t an option for espresso at breakfast. Or at least, it wasn’t offered.

The room and the property were so charming, and a perfect reflection of the beautiful little town of Šmartno. Very pleasant staff and the breakfast was beautiful. My sister and I shared a room and with the loft and pull out bed, it was very comfortable. I would definitely stay there again and highly recommend! We didn’t ask for it, but they gave us all three of our rooms adjacent to each other, which was perfect!

Only negative thing I can say was the Wi-Fi didn’t work for us. But who cares. Cell service worked fine. The woman who runs Marica, Ava? Is incredibly sweet and accommodating. And her breakfast spread is outstanding. The restaurant was not open for dinner the 2 nights we were there, but I’m sure it’s delicious. It’s a great central location to see all of Goriska Brda. Highly recommend.

What a great surprise to come upon "Tuscany" in Slovenia. Beautiful tiny hilltop village. Newly renovated rooms. Delicious food, with family made prosciutto & wine. The owner's are very kind and accommodating and clearly have great love for their village.

I wish the staff would have more time for us. As the same place is also the most busy restaurant of the village, very few attention to the guests from the staff members, although most of them were very freindly. The owner is very nice, and the same day we finally could have a nice conversation together.

This is the first place you see when entering the main gate of the village. A lovely building at the corner of two tiny, beautiful streets. Mix of classical and modern deoration inside, very warm to you heart. Very large appartment, nicely decorated. You feel at home immediately. You are also so proud to stand on the balcony, siruping a good glass of local wine. Food is incredible: all fress, (almost) all locally sourced. A great address.

Everything was amazing, literally everything! We will definitely be back. The location is unique and perfected, you can park your car very nearby, the staff is so nice. The restaurant serves amazing food (breakfast, lunch and diner) for a good price. They use local / self produced products and are very helpful. You need a bike? they arrange it. You want a wine tour? they know where to go too. It is just amazing.

I didn't like that there was only one large blanket for the two to share; I prefer to have my own. A bit overpriced. There could be a discount at dinner for guests (food is also really expensive).

The room had a genuine rustic touch, but it wasn't pretentious. Spacious and very comfortable.

Communication for check in- none. No one was at the property when we arrived. We tried calling but we weren't dialing correctly. Woman in tourist office called for us and we were able to speak with hotel owner and get keys out of lock box.

There was kitchen cleaning noise until 1 am (we were woken up by loud banging and crashing 2-3 times). Eventually I went down and complained, and the noise then stopped. WIFI is not effective (poor signal) blamed on 'storms'. However an open WIFI signal around fhe corner in the village worked fine.

Renovated building within the medieval village walls - very picturesque. Pleasant and helpful staff. Room is comfortable and nicely renovated. Good continental breakfast. Dinner was excellent.

No view. No balcony - despite room description. Breakfast very poor. First day cold omelettes and day old red and green pepper. Staff a little suspicious. Refused to add evening meal to the room bill as they “had had bad experiences”. Allowed us to borrow an umbrella but said “provided you bring it back”.
