Wonderful accommodation, amazing inner terrace (atrium) and perfect location, walking distance from all the best city views, castle and historical points. Great restaurants near the accommodation, which the host recommended to us. Our hosts, Vlado and his wife, were very kind and gave many great advice and suggestions on what to visit and also about the town history, we can't wait to come back. Breakfast was also great, maybe could add more variety with warm dishes (only hard boiled eggs available) and lactose free offer but all food was nice and fresh. Thank you for a great time and for keeping your wonderful historical place in a great shape.

The hosts are wonderful and make the time to ensure that you have a pleasant stay. They are justifiably proud of their city and provide plenty of information. The facilities are in top order, breakfast is fantastic and there is secure and dry parking for bicycles. The enclosed courtyard was a perfect place for our group to share a bottle of wine and snacks before heading out to dinner.

Nothing not to like.

B & B Silak is housed in a beautifully restored 15th or 16th century building by the river, renovated, run and managed by the owners who are very helpful and informative about the building history, and the local area. The restoration was obviously a work of love with no expense spared, and no detail overlooked. Room was super comfortable, and we enjoyed our breakfast outside on the patio. The building is centrally located for walking to all the local sights and restaurants. We had a marvelous meal at Restaurant Amadeus, around the corner.

Beautiful house in the old town. Our room was spacious, quiet, clean and well equipped. Breakfast is really good, there's a lot of different things that can suit everyone. The courtyard is a little jewel. The host and his wife are really kind, give a lot of useful information and take good care of the guests. You can see that everything is done with great love and attention.

Wonderful and historic accommodation! Vladimir and his wife make you very welcome in their beautiful home. Rooms are located off the central patio and the historic beams and vaults are visible in the rooms. This location had the best AC of any of our accommodations- it would actually cool off to 16C. When we arrived, Vladimir gave us recommendations for dinner (Gostilina Amadeus - was wonderful) and a map with a recommended historic walking tour of the old town. We only had a brief stay in Ptuj - so we put our things away, ate and enjoyed the walking tour. Ptuj is amazing! I wish we had 2 nights there to actually see the castle and the museums. Such amazing architecture! Breakfast was wonderful - lots of fresh, local fruit!

A delightful old house on the riverside, revamped with lots of love and effort. Good parking. Very kind, friendly and helpful landlords. The room was pleasant, with very comfortable, beds, AC, a desk, good reading lamps at the bedsides. The bathroom with a shower cabin had everything one needs. Breakfast exceeded all expectations. It was a meticulously prepared and beautifully presented buffet, all done by the lady of the house, All the fruit, cereals, cheeses, cold meats, juices, sweet goodies, honeys, jams, cofee, teas etc. were of the highest quality.

The whole place has such a special atmosphere that makes you want to sit in the inner yard and just listen to the chirping birds. There's a great collection of house plants! The hosts were outgoing and welcoming and provided us with tips on what to do in Ptuj. The breakfast was amazing!
