Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

PhilippinesThe area is really great for jogging and hiking. There are lots of trails to take for those who like to stroll. The hosts were friendly and the breakfast served were really really delicious. There's also a resto beside the inn and the food was equally great. My friends and I really enjoyed our stay. It is not accessible by bus but the host pick us up and drop-off to Fenqihu Station.

AustraliaOnly a very small towel was offered - would not be adequate for us though luckily we had a travel towel.
Delightful property set in tea fields above the town. The owner was welcoming and helpful. He owns local tea farms and made us lovely oolong tea each morning with great care. We had a baloney out over tea fields and flowers to the mountains. There is no elevator but our host took our luggage up. Comfortable bed and large room. Very nice breakfast with hot option and fresh fruit and of course the tea - with coffee option too. It is a more traditional wet bathroom ( no shower screen) but good hot water and clean.

PhilippinesThey don't have big towels and the only towels they offer are small square ones.
The location of this B&B is what makes this a good option. You wake up to the sound of birds singing and everything's just so serene. You can also hike around the scenic trails around the area. When we were there, the area gets foggy/misty around noon until the afternoon so the mornings are great for taking photos. Room was clean and tidy. There was also a dehumidifier. Hosts were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great. Scallion pancakes on the first day and meat buns on the second day. They also offered us their strawberries and lantern tomatoes (a first for us!) Although I was hoping to have rice because I'm from a rice-eating country. :D We asked for tea tasting and the host also obliged. Plus, they gave us snacks made by one of their neighbors. They don't offer lunch or dinner so you have to look for it in other B&Bs in the area or by walking down the highway (which takes roughly an hour of uphill/downhill walking). You can ask the host to pick you up at the bus station or take you there after your stay. He charged us 100NTD per trip.

CanadaWhen I arrived at 5 PM, the bathroom was still a bit wet (maybe from cleaning?) and didn't really dry well after my shower. A little uncomfortable, but not a big deal.
Very nice bed and breakfast in Shizuo! There are a couple of beautiful viewpoints in the area, and you are about a 5-10 minute drive away from the main area of Shizuo. Bed was very comfy and the room was very spacious. Wifi worked well too. Breakfast was very yummy and the host communicated with me well enough (my Chinese is kinda spotty).

NetherlandsBathroom is very small and taking a shower will get everything wet. Despite what the listing said, there were initially no towels. We could borrow one in the end, for the two of us. Bed was very noisy.
Basic homemade breakfast, location near a few trails, great view. Dehumidifier provided to counter the damp mountain air.

United States of AmericaI highly recommend staying at Cuiti B&B during your time visiting the Alishan area! The owners are so attentive - they prepare a homemade breakfast for you each morning, and for a small fee they'll drive you to / pick you up from the main street of Shizao. The room was comfy and the bathroom was clean - remember to bring your own towel! The B&B is a bit out of town, but it's also just a 5 min walk from the start of the Cloud Trail. This place was great!

SingaporeThe towels provided are small akin to a hand towel.
The owners will help to drive you to a nearby bus stop from which you can travel to Alishan or Chiayi. There is also a walking trail in the immediate vicinity. Nice breakfast provided.

Personal attention for breakfast, was really good and fresh. Fresh self-grown strawberries and the B&B has a tea farm right in front. Location was really nice and relatively central for Alishan. The hosts were wonderful and very helpful.

PortugalThe breakfast was very nice with fruits (dragon fruit, physalis), cherry tomatoes, dry fruits, nice sweet potato chips and a delicious 'onion pan cake' which was a discovery (omelet & vegetables inside). Very beautiful panorama on the mountains and the tea plantations from our room 201 with balcony. Splendid flowers in the hotel's little garden (Cymbidium Orchids,...). The owners of the Cuiti B&B are very friendly.

United States of AmericaBreakfast was good and the staff was friendly and very helpful. There was a small restaurant at the hotel next to this one, so if you don't have a car, you can get by. The hiking trails (that are well maintained and easy to walk) are very close, so it's a convenient location.

Singapore- B&B so no dinner available. Hotel next door does serve food in the evening , but owners seemed unaware of this, and could only suggest long walk to town - other reviews have said that owners will let guests cook. But be aware that the only cooking facilities were 2 gas burners outside - No towels, only seriously tiny disposable ones- bring your own - bathroom is old and shower is very poor
- beautiful location with scenic walks nearby - owners will pick you up from Shizhao (may charge) - comfortable bed - tasty (if small) breakfast
