Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

SingaporeLuckydaisy was a wonderful stay because of the staff, the location and the food in the Bamboo bar. The staff were extremely helpful and kind, and assisted us with a last minute change in accommodation due to my daughter’s sprained ankle. We are really grateful for that. Luckydaisy is situated in quiet Ta Van village, away from the bustle of Sapa town. There are nice cafes to be found, quiet walks around the village and very near to the trekking routes. The food in the bamboo bar is really delicious!! The great serving staff there are always attentive and helpful. It was a pleasure to dine there every time we went.

United KingdomIt is up a steep hill from Bamboo Bar which might make it difficult for some people and something to be aware of when booking. This made it difficult for my Mum who has a disability. However, the staff were very accommodating, took breakfast up to her and arranged a motorcycle taxi to get to an organised Batik course so it wasn’t an issue.
We booked the Mountain Villa for 4 of us and including our parents. The location was stunning and secluded. Beautiful look out from the balcony and right in the middle of rice paddies and local village. The staff are so friendly and willing to help however they can. They helped us to arrange travel back to Sapa town and Hanoi on a train, organised pick up and a Batik class for us. The Batik class with MiMi was such a lovely experience and would recommend if you have time. The food in the Bamboo bar is delicious and breakfast was a great. Thank you!

United States of AmericaBit of a trek up and downhill, which will be very difficult if you aren't fairly fit. Would be nicer if there was more lighting in the room (esp at night) and another fan, as it can be warm.
Pretty room with lots of windows, located right next to rice terraces. Breakfast was great, as well as their resident dog.

GermanyThe best place we stayed in Vietnam in 7 weeks so far. The staff is amazingly warm, friendly and helpful. They helped us book the most complicated routes, talked to taxi drivers on the phone for half an hour to bring us to the right spot, mailed items we have forgotten to our next destination and did pretty much everything right so that we felt like home away from home. It is not the cheapest place but worth every dong. I will definitely try to come back.

United KingdomThe hotel is in a perfect location to walk around Ta Van which is quieter and prettier than Sapa town. There was a bar with great views where you could have breakfast and sit and chat to other guests.

New ZealandIt was awesome.
A charming Homestay with the most gorgeous friendly and helpful staff. The room was spacious with a lovely view. A little noisey at night with dogs and an early start at 6am with someone next door fixing a roof but it was hot so better to start early! The food was delicious!!! We loved sitting in the outdoor area and having lovely cheap cocktails for happy hour. Highly recommend Lucky Daisys Buffalo!!

NetherlandsJust a small downside. The walls in the rooms were really really thin, so you could literally hear every word your neighbors said. Furthermore I won't advice to let them book your ride to Cat Ba.
The location was beautiful and far better compared to staying in Sapa Center. Furthermore the staff was extremely helpful and they spoke English well. The biggest + however were our trekkings with Na, the mountain trekking to Lao Chai San was the best!

This was my favorite stay in the whole Vietnam. the staff is the best, the room was very cosy, and thank God they have warming blankets, you won’t leave the bed ! The people at the desk were the nicest. I was sick and stayed in bed all the day, the lady texted me to ask me if I needed tea or food to bring to my room and it was very thoughtful. she helped me organise absolutely everything. I wish I could come back and stay a bit longer. don’t hesitate to book a day with My a H’mong guide, she’s also perfect I had an amazing time with her.

SwitzerlandHouse can be a bit noisy if there are many people staying there (wooden house).
Super friendly and helpful stuff, charming location outside of Sa Pa, lots of hiking possibilities, delicious food. Guided tours with Ly and May (local h'mong guides) were amazing. Ly told as a lot about the area and their culture and we had the unique possibility to have lunch at here house with her family. We highly recommend those guided tours.

Netherlands-
We arrived very early by nightbus, and they arranged pick up from Sapa to the accomodation. We were very tired but we got breakfast and an early check-in witch was really nice. Dinner was also very good. We booked a tour via the Luckydaisy and that was also very nice. The house was clean and had a nice warm shower. All together a really nice stay at the buffalo house.

NetherlandsI visited in winter time, which may have been quite different from visiting in summer time. Be prepared for the cold and do bring enough warm clothes.
I was absolutely amazed by the view when waking up the next morning! Also, I feel the staff did everything to make the best out of my stay. They were super helpful and very communicative. Also they helped me plan out some activities, very nice!

NetherlandsBreakfast portion is too small.
I really enjoyed my stay at Luckidaisy buffalo house. I slept in a comfortable dorm room with nice view from the balcony and a hot shower. The owner arranged us a day trip trough the ricefields with May which was really lovely. Also the food is really well prepared and they serve wine for a decent price. Before arriving the communication with the owner was very good.

Malaysia- No enough mirror - insects and frog coming in through bathroom floor traps due to rainy season - Multiple plug points not working. - the lighting inside the house is too dim. There is no any white light - the house was uphill 200m and we had to walk up with baggages. Probably need some arrangements for that.
The host is very nice. The interior of the house is really cozy and comfy. It was huge and able to accommodate many people.
