No complaints! Be aware it's a tiny bit out of town if you're planning on walking around Ha Giang (but you could rent a scooter or I bet they could organize a ride).

Note: recieved notice immediately after booking that I'd be staying the Yolo Homestsy building instead. This was well communicated and not a problem for me. Homestay was very quiet and clean, bed cover had beautiful local textiles. Breakfast was delicious. There was excellent coffee and fruit, with options of Bahn mi, crepe, or (vegan option) pho rice noodle soup with mushrooms. They were able to check me in at 10:30 PM when my bus arrived. They offer Ha Giang loop tours, but I had already booked with another company. This looked organized, just from surface first impression

Breakfast is very good. I would recommend the place to set a motorbike tour_ the guide speaks well English and is very knowledgeable in history of the area and Vietnam.

We stayed for one night before starting the Ha Giang Loop, and it was a very nice and quiet stay. The Hostel is very close to several motorbike rental places and restaurants. It is a 5 minute walk from the bus station. Even though we left very early, they still prepared a Banh Mi for breakfast.

Very good value for money! Well located nearby motorbike rental & tour operators. Very friendly family and good food! We were allowed to leave our bags here for several days.

The corridor wall is made of wood and doesn't go all the way up to the ceiling so it might be a bit noisy when the place is packed. But this wasn't an issue for us at all since not many people were here and it was very quiet.

The manager was very nice and helpful even though he didn't speak a lot of english. His phó in the morning was delicious and we had a big room with a comfortable bed. We had a very good airconditionner and were lucky that not many people were there at the same time so we almost had our own bathroom. The manager even helped us find a motorbike for the Ha Giang loop tour with his friend from Yolo tour who was speaking english and was very helpful as well.

The man on reception at first didn’t seem to know I had a booking which was worrying at first but was ok. Just was odd as I booked this a while ago. But apart from that pho for breakfast included I can’t complain at all

It’s literally a bed and at the end of the corridor a shower and toilet. About as basic as you can get but there was nothing wrong with it at all and I felt safe in the property

Super near the bus stop where we took bus from sapa to ha giang. We rent motorbike opposite. The staff are kind where we used mixed of Google translate and some English to communicate. He is helpful and help us book the ticket to ha long. Superb.

Excellent location, it's right next to the road. While the air conditioner is cooling, a small fan is installed on each bed. The staff are friendly. The price is really good value for money!

Just wow...Rosie is such an incredibly sweet woman! She deeply cares about the services she provides and has created such a lovely atmosphere at the Rainbow house. The reception is open all night and the bus from Hanoi drops you off less than a minute away from the front door so it's a super easy and streamlined process of checking in! The dorms are incredibly good and comfortable, and the value is unbeatable. AC, personal fans, sockets and reading lights... everything is in perfect working order and there is such attention to details. She helped me organise my tour on the loop and book my night bus ticket to the Hanoi airport. The tour I booked through Rainbow house was a lot more affordable than any other option I was offered and it was really nice that we were a small group of 5 with more flexibility to go our own pace . What really touched me was her care to make sure that all my questions were answered, and that I was taken care of during the trip. After returning from Ha Giang, she wanted to know what I thought of the tour and if there was any room for improvement, she immediately took my feedback and set off to make arrangements so that it was implemented! Hands down would recommend staying here to anyone ❤️ she makes it feel like a family house. Thank you Rosie 🙂

Our host was very warm and welcoming. She did a lot of effort to make me feel at home and was always there to give advice or help me out when needed. The Rainbow House is a very relaxed and calm hostel, which I really liked. You can book the Ha Giang Loop tour in the hostel. I would definitely recommend it. We were with a small group of 9 people and had such a great time.

Very good place very close to the bus station. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The room is basic but the bed was super confy and for that price it is more than expected! You can leave luggage there while on the Ha Giang loop. Thank you so much 😊
