Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaThere was only one double power outlet in the room and one of the outlets was not working. I always bring a multi-outlet power strip with me so i could plug in the fridge, kettle and charger. The room was clean but an undertone of ancient cigarette smell was lurking. I really dislike that smell but found this at a tolerable level. At times, the bathroom air vent would channel cigarette smoke from the family home below and stink up the bathroom but i closed the door and eventually it went away.
The young lady at reception was so helpful. She carried my big luggage up the front stairs and gave me a room on the first floor. The AC, refridgerator, kettle, hot shower water was all good. The room was very clean and bed was comfortable. Cold drinks are available to buy at reception. The Hotel is a street over from Walking Street but it's in a quiet area.

South AfricaI stayed in two different rooms, on one side of the hotel is very quiet on the other side you can hear a bit music and drunk people from the road below, it is close to Bui Vien so this is normal, if you're able to get a room on the quiet side you'll lose out on a huge window. So it's up to you
The location is good, the hotel is basic but welll equipped, it's clean and the staff are friendly, laundry can be done for a small fee. Theres a TV and small fridge in every room. I would definitely stay, as it's close enough but not too close to the craziness. One great thing there's no loud drunk backpacker kids

Norway- This is not the property's fault, but Google has put the wrong address for this hotel. If you need help finding the hotel, try googling "New Delhi Restaurant". That is the address for the restaurant next door. And then you will find it. - This is very normal in most places in Vietnam, especially in older buildings, but you might see ants in your room. I don't care because they are very small and I can see only maybe 2-5 ants in my room at one time. They are not a problem and they will not bother you. But if you are very scared of insects, you need to look for a more expensive hotel. I still recommend staying here, but I just wanted to let you know. - Again, this is not a problem to me. But sometimes the kids who live downstairs can get loud. This is normal and I do not think it's a problem at all. But if your worst nightmare is waking up because of children screaming, this is not for you. Children are loud and that is okay. But if you don't like it, find somewhere else. - The building is old, so the rooms are a little old. That is okay. But just remember that this is not a luxury hotel. I am very happy I came to Marieline Hotel 1. I recommend you to stay.
Staff: Staff are very friendly and welcoming. They even helped me pay for a taxi when I had lost my wallet and had to pay the driver. Not everyone speaks English, but they try to help you anyway or they will find someone who can. Using a translation app can help if no English speakers are available. They are family people, so there are kids around and it shows that these are good and nice people. The hotel room: Keep in mind that the buildings in D1 are older, so the rooms are a little old too. For the price you are paying, you will not get a hotel that is in perfect shape. But they keep things clean and the rooms are nice. Air-conditioner is good. And there is a small fridge that is empty, so bring your own water. Ask reception for cutlery if you need it. The water for the shower gets hot, so no problems there. And my room was quiet, maybe because I booked a room with no windows. I could barely hear the noise from outside at all. It was very nice. Sometimes the kids are loud when they are playing, but I don't mind. That's what kids are supposed to be like. Facilities, services: Room service will clean and change the sheets for you if you hang the sign on the door. And they offer a laundry service where you pay a small amount per kilogram. They kept all my clothes nice and clean. Wi-Fi is good and fast. The reception offers mobile plans, guided tour packages and other things that tourists might enjoy. Final thoughts: This is a hotel that's good for the price. It's got everything you need for a trip to HCMC. The people here are nice, the rooms are good and the location is excellent because it is located close to everything you need in District 1. I recommend everyone to stay here if you just need a place to stay, shower, sleep and relax before going out. It is a perfectly okay hotel, but I still really enjoyed my time here.
