Some units have steep stairs . Challenging with heavy luggage . Check which room before booking!

I did suggest that they leave a risk or biscuit for one to have with one’s tea, which was gratefully accepted and was immediately taken into consideration. I asked for full cream milk and it was supplied without question. The breakfast was plentiful and delicious.

I was impressed by the cleanliness and comfort and especially the very personal concern for one’s well being.

The small bathroom, also the bedroom was a little cramped.

It had a nice pool,the host and hostess were very accommodating , nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast excellent. Also appreciated the use of kitchen facilities, which we used to prepare our suppers when we were not eating out.

Fantastic location to relax and “feel at home”. It is a nice and quiet place to stay after a day of full action in the wine region of Stellenbosch and surroundings. Special attention for the fantastic breakfast with the best omelette “ever”. Ask for it and the staff of this B&B will make it, bring it with passion.

I was extremely unhappy before I left the hotel. I appreciated they allowed me to leave my luggage and came back to retrieve it. But when I was back and tried to tidy up myself in the breakfast/living room, the gentleman host gave me an unfriendly look and it sounded to me that I should not be sitting there and I was ruining their business, had to have their dogs locked because I was afraid of dogs. This last little thing completely ruined my experience here.

Location is close to the town centre, breakfast was nice and accommodated my needs. The ladies were very friendly. I would recommend for families than a single traveller.

Very central so easy to walk into Stellenbosch. Beautiful garden with nice outside space . Fabulous breakfast with homemade apple juice, bread and jams. Secure parking for our car. Extremely helpful hosts.

During our stay we didn't have any problems at all because the owners and the staff were very good at preventing and solving any problems we might have had. So I'd say there's nothing I didn't like about 10 Alexander B&B

The staff and owners were very friendly. The breakfast was amazing 10/10. The rooms were so tidy and clean. The location is so convenient if you are looking to walk to the shops instead of driving. And I'd say it's a walkable distance to the university as well. Would definitely recommend 10 Alexander B&B

Nothing, we really liked it and would stay again.

Breakfast was amazing - so much choice of gorgeous food! The owners were really helpful and made sure each morning that we had all the advice we needed about where to go each day. The pool was lovely and perfect for an end of day dip. The room was great - clean, big enough and had all the basics you would need from a room, including a mini kitchen for self catering. The B&B felt safe and secure.

An impeccable 5-star experience at 10 Alexander B&B in Stellenbosch! The stay was exceptional—clean, tranquil, and complemented by a beautiful garden. The breakfast was a highlight, absolutely delicious. Special mention to the gracious lady who welcomed us and took our breakfast orders each morning with a warm smile, making us feel truly at home. She is undoubtedly a valuable asset to the B&B.

The staff and their guest friendliness are wonderful. We loved staying here and felt it was the perfect place for our trip to Stellenbosch. The breakfast is very good and getting served individually in the beautiful garden feels like paradise.

Paul and Wietske were very polite and accommodating hosts. The room is amazing, breakfast was even better, and the location was perfect (only a 5 min walk from Stellenbosch central). Would definitely recommend to anyone!

I was there during a cold period in winter. The buildings (that I heard also from my friends there) in Stellenbosch are not adept to such cold therefore, the isolation and heating system are not as strong as we know in other countries. The AC could only be used for a short time so that the energy could be used by other guests too etc. So for me the only concern, and it was a concern, was how can I make myself feel warmer while I’m trying to sleep. If you’re visiting to Stellenbosch in the winter bring very thick clothes! As the guesthouses etc are not equipped to provide that warm temperature. Again, it’s not this place’s fault, it’s all over perhaps in all country as my friend in Cape Town was staying in Marriot and still froze every night. For winter, bring very very warm clothes for the night if you’re travelling to South Africa.

The staff is welcoming. I felt as if I was visiting family relatives. Cosy and great breakfast. Lovely staff members. The fireplace makes it especially cosy when you’re there during the winter time.
