Enjoyed our stay. The room key needed attention... not always easy to open... a little concerning if there was a fire. The maintenance guy just explained how to wiggle the key until it opened. I felt that was not good enough... It ought to have been fixed properly. Otherwise, staff were very helpful and friendly

We were lucky to get a room for a night over the Easter weekend. A large, comfortable room facing the sea. The breakfast was excellent and all the staff, friendly and helpful. Exceptional value.

Although the buffet breakfast offers an abundant variety, my meat options as a no pork eater was limited to the savory mince. It would be nice if no pork sausages and/or beef only bangers can be on offer as an alternate for the other pork based meats that are in abundance.

Very friendly staff, excellent location. Om arrival I found our toilet blocked and reported it at reception. We went for a sundowner and when we got back to the room the problem was solved without any inconvenience to us.

The room smelled like fire which stained all my baby’s clothes and blankets. There wasn’t much lighting as we pulled up to the hotel which makes moving around quite difficult. They do not designate parking or recommend where to park. The staff was under pressure during the breakfast rush the Saturday. Once of the servers was busy cleaning a table for me and my family to sit and the manager on duty told him to fix the coffee machine even though he mentioned to her that he was busy. This left me standing with a baby waiting for 15 minutes to be seated. She should have assigned the table setting to a different server in a more professional manner.

We had initially booked for a 2night stay from 1 May -3 May 2024 ,however something unexpected popped up and we had to change our date,which I did via the booking.com app on 31 march ,this was confirmed and payment was made a few days later.When we arrived on 26th April they only had our old dates on their system but after a few minutes after I showed them our confirmation emails they found a room for us.A room we were not happy with,as it didn’t have a pool view which we paid for nor an extra large double bed which we had requested (had 2 twin beds just pushed together and a view of the hotel backyard) When we complained at reception that we weren’t happy with the state of room and felt it wasn’t what we had paid for.Thats when they admitted that it wasn’t the room we had paid for and they actually didn’t have a room for us which why they put us there.We expressed our disappointment and asked to speak to a manager and was told there was none on duty,we made a point of asking to speak to one first thing in morning.We went for supper at the bistro and before our food even arrived a pool facing room mysteriously became available for us . We were moved and that’s where we stayed the weekend,the new room was much more to our liking. So if we hadn’t voiced our dissatisfaction they would’ve left us in the first room.

The staff here is just amazing, nothing was ever too much to ask. Both restaurants serve great dishes and the rooms are spacious. The onsite Spa is also a treat, complete with Sauna and a Razul chamber. Location, location, location! Quick 45min drive to Agulhas and 30min from Bredasdorp. Absolute value for money stay!

The ground floor..people walking past. The neigbors on their balcony but on our side, keep looking in. Parking, had to park near harbour. The couch was super uncomfortable. The bath was cracked so we didn't want to try to bath... Not such a nice stay like before

We love everything about Arniston. I will not take ground floor again though. Didn't like the couch. Super uncomfortable. The people walk past all the time, no privacy. The evenings were noisy. Doors banging..in the middle of the night. I loved the chocolates that is so cute. But Monday night the lady only gave 1. That's ok it's very nice of the Hotel. My husband and I have been doing this for the 2nd year for our Anniversary. Next time 1st or 2nd floor

I don't think I will take the ground floor again. The couch was soooo uncomfortable, people walk past all the time, and cars in the way. Last year we were on the 1st floor in the middle...Amazing!! Very much more private...

My husband and I have gone to Arniston Hotel for the 2nd year in a row for our Anniversary. Just to hear the waves and sea is sooo relaxing...

The only thing that bothered me was that the quoted price on Booking.com was less than what I had to pay during check out.

They only give you 1gig of internet per device for every 4 days which is little. The TV channels are not the best selection (it included sabc channels) - I know you don't go away to watch tv but the first day we arrived it was raining the whole day and we couldn't even stream a movie on our device because of the limited internet. I feel for a 4 star hotel the internet should be uncapped - we stayed in 3 star hotels before and all of them offered uncapped internet.

We booked a sea-facing room. The room was spacious and clean. We enjoyed sitting on the balcony overlooking the ocean. Every evening when we returned from dinner, the bed was made ready for the night (scatter cushions removed etc) and we received a little chocolate on each pillow. There was also a tray in the room with some Old Brown sherry and two glasses which was a nice gesture. The buffet breakfast was fantastic - a great selection to choose from. We had dinner the one night in the main dining room and the other night at the Bistro. Portions are big and the food very tasty. The staff in the hotel is very friendly and we will definitely return to this hotel.

There was no ATM. It would've been better seem we came from far to allow us to check in earlier.

The breakfast was exceptional a bit of everything even to champagne there was enough of everything even if you arrived after 9 they allowed u to sit on that was superb. Food was tasty
