Small signs of tiredness in the fabric of the building - damp patches on the walls. But it’s an old building so not surprising but everything else is great.

The setting. The fact that they could accommodate a late room change. Shows a care for their guests. It was our third stay there over a period of several years returning to Franschhoek

The pool was not well maintained it seemed like. I did not feel comfortable going in, and it's rather small as well. I didn't have time to swim anyway, so it was fine for me, but keep in mind if you're looking to have the ultimate relaxation.

The room was large and lovely, very much winecountry decor. The breakfast is the same day-over-day, but it was delicious. Easy to get cabs from the stay, so it wasn't a hassle getting around. If you're looking for extreme quite, then this is your place.

There is nothing to NOT like!

Beautiful, spacious rooms and bathrooms with gorgeous views of the property. The complimentary wine tasting was wonderful, and we enjoyed it with some of Paulina’s wood fired pizza. Breakfast at the guest house was truly one for the books (the butternut and Chèvre omelette was exceptional!) To top it all was the wonderful hospitality and fantastic service from all the amazing staff at Basse Provence.

The houses were beautiful and historic with views of the equally beautiful and historic Franchshoek valley. Within the house the accommodation was modern and very comfortable. The staff were all delightful and checking in and out was very smooth. There was a small but very welcome swimming pool. An added bonus was the wine tasting at the Rickety Bridge cellars was included in the price.

The complimentary wine tasting. This is at the adjacent Rickety Bridge vineyard but the wine offered was very poor. The next day we took the tram to do wine tasting but avoided Rickety Bridge!

Large room. All facilities good. Nicely set back from the road. Good breakfast.

The sound insulation could be better. We encountered a minor hiccup with a hidden cricket in the room affecting sleep quality. Despite efforts to locate and resolve the issue, it remained elusive. Additionally, the Wi-Fi signal was not robust

Our stay at this hotel in Franschhoek was highlighted by the complimentary wine tasting at Rickety Bridge, a thoughtful gesture that set the tone for a memorable visit. The service was exceptionally attentive, with the convenience of being able to contact them anytime via WhatsApp.Nestled in the picturesque surrounds of a renocated farm, the ambiance was charming.
