The floorboards were incredibly noisy, not only mine but the people upstairs. It was hard to sleep as I'd get woken up every time they moved in their room.

Our room was quite noisy because of the people above us. All is a bit old fashioned. The floor if you walk on, makes noise(if your partner sleeps and you have to walk).

Evergreen Lodge is nicely situated, close to center of Stellenbosch, pretty. Good bed, everything is there, Teecocker. breakfast is excellent.renovated bathroom, nice little private terrace. Very clean. Calm, no car noise.

I would have liked a separate bedside light so my daughter did not get disturbed while I read late into the night. It would be better if the AC was described as a heater instead on being shown to our room. We assumed it just made the room cooler but eventually worked out that it also made the room warmer. It was also a little concerning that we found one of the gates into the premises open during the day. This error could result in safety being compromised. A guest must not have closed the door gate properly which could have dire consequences in crime ridden SA.

The staff were great - friendly, responsive, attentive and welcoming. I asked for a room with a bath on check in and Clayton immediately organised this for me. The location for the party we were attending was perfect and the premises secure and safe. I appreciated the lack of load shedding limitations on the property and the off street parking. The breakfast spread was very good with a wide range of options. I also enjoyed the complimentary sherry next to the bed - a nice welcome touch on a cold evening.

The had very few parking spaces.

It was in the center of everything, conference venue, shopping center, and other places. The breakfast options were all fresh and enjoyable. They had a nice relaxing place by the swimming pool. They cleaned the rooms regularly.

I had a problem with my kids room the aircon wasn't working the lady bring the heater but the heater wasn't working either.

No mirror close to a plug to blow-dry my hair. I asked for a chair to sit at a table to work, but this didn’t arrive.

Beautifully set, central, lovely breakfast and attentive staff. Reception even called my room at night to check on me - this was much appreciated.

The wooden floors are noisy when you walk in the lodges and you hear the people walk above and next to you . Could do with snacks in the bar fridge and better wine selection.

Nice, quiet hotel. An older building (common for the area) but well maintained. Staff were very friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was tasty, with several options to choose from.

I think there could have been better photos of the rooms. The family room was not really explained that well to us. We thought we would be all in one room but in fact there was a single bed in another bedroom (very advantageous) - best to show photos of this combo or explain it.
