The mattress was super soft, which was not great for us but may suit others? Wifi was a little low at times but never enough to cause us any problems.

Proximity to everything!! View was spectacular! Apartment was super clean and had all you could need! Never felt unsafe for a minute. Hosts were on the ball! Reagan was great, even carrying up a huge umbrella for us from another house.

Minor maintenance issues noted in both bungalows we stayed in but response of hosts suitable when notifying.

Spacious accommodation in a great location overlooking main Paternoster beach. We were staying just for a couple of nights but property has amenities to support a longer stay with outside space, braai on terrace.

Everything was great

A very spacious villa. Excellent location next to waterfront. It was quieter than on the otherside and had a small lawn to lie on and look at the sea. Comfortable and Very well equipped and excellent attention from all staff particularly Reagan. Lived this place. Will definitely cone back

There was no shower and there was no back up power for loadsheeding.

Super straight forward and we meet the host at the location to get the keys. The beach is a short walk away and it's right next to the waterfront. Great restaurants and things to do right around the corner.

Beautiful location, very close to the beach. Tranquil. Apartment has everything you would need. Close to lovely coffee shop for breakfast. Had an amazing stay. Will visit again.

Absolutely nothing

Location really can’t be beaten, has to be the best views in Paternoster. The cottages are so comfortable, furnished in keeping with the stunning location, natural and simplicity at its best without compromising comfort. The staff were so delightful and couldn’t have been more helpful. Thank you La Baleine, we will be back!

Missed a washing machine, but staff offered to do our washing. The "begging" was annoying.... but it is everywhere

We loved the location. Missed a washing machine but the staff offered to do our laundry. We bought crayfish from the locals. To die for. We love Paternoster

Quite a few steps without handrails but the property is about to undergo an update where these issues will be addressed.

The location was excellent and with fabulous views of the bay. The cottage was very light and airy with a good open plan living area. The staff team were very responsive and provided an excellent service throughout our stay. The manager Chriszell was excellent and welcomed our feedback on our stay.

No complaints. We had wonderful long weekend and will certainly return. Highly recommended.

Our unit had a partial view of the sea which was wonderful. You could literally lie in bed and look at the waves. The location was great, just a few steps away from the Paternoster Waterfront with nice restaurants and shops and a theatre. Easy drive down the road to Cape Columbine, a wonderful nature reserve. Very comfortable apartment with nice modern kitchen equipment. Lovely outdoor areas to enjoy the view and have a barbeque.

The water pressure is bad - it takes ages to run a bath and there is hardly any pressure for the shower. The stove plates take ages to heat up - can hardly get a pot of water to boil on the stove. The disclaimer which must be signed re breakages. Accidental breakages should not be charged for - hotels and guesthouses do not charge for accidental breakages.

We would have preferred to have sun loungers available on the beautiful patio, as well as a sun umbrella, and an easily accessible outside tap to rinse sandy beach feet.

There was absolutely nothing to not like. The only thing that was missing in my view was a fire pit. Although there is a braai it is a little too far from the benches, so you couldn't feel the heat. I would suggest a free standig fire pit for the outside area.

THe views from the balcony were absolutely amazing. I was expecting a partial view of the ocean, however we had views of the entire bay. The place was clean and fully equipped. We needed for nothing. The place is kept immaculate with staff constantly busy, however not even visible. The communication from La Baleine was constant prior to the visit which facilitated the check in times
