We wouldn't have changed anything. It isn't for you if you're looking for fancy hotel-style accommodation. But it is perfect for comfort, convenience, peace and quiet, and appreciation of the beauty of Elgin

The accommodation is situated away from the main road, giving us the peace and quiet we were looking for on a weekend escape. Yet all of the activities we were looking to do in the Elgin area were within a 15 minutes drive. The host's were incredibly friendly and helpful, allowing us to utilize the property without any long list of rules and regulations, as well as assisting with out Wifi / signal concerns immediately. We felt very secure with ample security measures at our disposal, but we never found them necessary. The area of Elgin is beautiful and made for a very relaxing stay.

The Storm of all Storms hit the Overberg area and Rowena and her family were amazing, the cottages are amazing and we are thrilled to have found accommodation where you feel spoilt upon arrival!

The water supply to the cottages relies on a pump which cuts out during load shedding. However, plenty of water was supplied in containers to use when the power was off.

Cottages were well equipped with an indoor fire to keep them warm and plenty of wood was supplied. We were also impressed by the measures taken to handle load shedding. Beds were comfortable and cozy. Although the weather was cold, we managed to find a warm braai area to cook in the evenings.

The cottages are located inside an operating apple plantation and the owner are lovely people, always helpful and easy to contact all the time. We staid at Cottage "Panorama" with an outside sitting area / deck attached including braii area. The cottage has two bed rooms with very comfortable beds. The livng room has a sitting area with TV and kitchen included and all needed equipment is available. WLAN is perfectly strong and flash lights, to be independent during load shedding, are also available. Everything was spotless clean!! This accom is highly recommendable and we will definitely be back again soon.

The cottages were very well equipped and a great combination of comfort and farm hospitality. The cottage was even stocked with rusks, coffee and milk. The fireplace were packed when we arrived and we could just light our fire. We enjoyed being in the apple orchards and leisurely walks.

Beautiful property and the cottage is surrounded by the apple orchards. You are allowed to walk on the farm and enjoy the beautiful surrounds. The cottage was very clean and beautifully decorated. It had everything we needed - even separate drinking water in a big container! I love the small details and the fact that we got a small jar of jam as a welcome gift… and it was delicious! The fireplace was probably the best part for us because it was a cold weekend, and we didn’t miss our TV at all. The separate braai area outside is also great, although we didn’t utilize it as much.

Everything was great. There was nothing we didn't like.

We had a lovely stay with fresh apples from the orchard, complementary wood for the indoor fireplace, lovely bed linen and a massive shower in the bathroom. Check in was a breeze despite arriving very late at night and the owners were delightful. Definitely coming back.
