If you are looking for a good welcoming stopover on your drive to the south/north during your trip around South Africa, this is just the perfect gateway. Great rooms, friendly atmosphere, exceptionally good prepared breakfast! They even backed a fresh bread for us. We got so spoiled! Just loved it

Everthink was just perfect

Simply fantastic We arrived late afternoon, Wilhem the owner arrived immediately to welcome us. And what a nice surprise, Wilhem instead of the room with bathroom and kitchen, gave us the Cottage - upgradet us -. Small private garden in front with a round table and 4 very comfortable chairs, where I spent several hours looking at the view, or in front of my computer drinking a glass of wine or something else. Upon entering you find yourself in the living room with kitchen. 2 3-seater sofas, TV, spacious and well-equipped kitchen. From there you arrive in a bedroom with 2 single beds or in the master bedroom with a double bed and 1 extra bed. From the 2 bedrooms you have access to the bathroom. Bathroom with bathtub and shower, the shower is large and accessible even with a wheelchair. The entire Cottage is tastefully decorated and very comfortable. Not to forget the semi-covered swimming pool at the main House with a splendid view of the mountain - the water was the perfect temperature, swimming was really good for me, sofas on the deck, deckchairs, gym equipment, barbeque and a table for eight people. At sunset around 6pm you can see the animals - Kudu, Elan ect... The only day we moved was to visit the Zebra Park not far away +- 25 minutes. However, for walking or mountain biking enthusiasts, there is plenty of space We spent some wonderful days enjoying the absolute tranquility. Wilhem his wife Sue Ellen and children are so personable, always ready to help, they make you feel very special. I'm sure we will be back.

The place exceeded my expectations. Beautiful, clean and quiet. In the morning you only hear birds singing and the sound of animals. It is about 4km from the main road. Don't worry about the loadshedding, the place has generator. This is a farm area though Willem has placed precautionary measures to repel mosquitos, bring your own repellent in case. I love everything about this place. Will definitely come back, that's for sure. 💯% satisfactory

We like everything!!

The breakfast room was a fresh breeze to walk in! It is very nicely decorated. The owner ........also a mega farmer and farmer of the year in Eastern Cape........served us personally!! That was special for us.......and with this good company a five star breakfast prepared by his wife Sue-Ellen!!

We absolutely LOVED our stay in the spacious, stand-alone 2 bedroom cottage (which can sleep 5). The reviews all looked amazing, and we were not disappointed - immaculately clean, superb furnishings and decor, with high quality finishes throughout. The farm setting is beautiful and peaceful, and next time we hope to stay an extra night or two. Thank you to our hosts Wilhelm and Sue-Ellen for such warm hospitality. Of all the guest houses we’ve stayed at on our road trips in South Africa, this is definitely one of the best!

We loved everything about the property. The facilities, the host ( Wilhelm), the accommodation, the setting was excellent. It is very rare that I give such a high rating, but we loved it and truly felt like family. We will be back soon!

We booked the separate cottage and it was perfect for our needs. Beautifully decorated and well-equipped, all the little details taken care of. We had everything we needed for a lovely meal and we loved sitting outside and looking at the mountain as a storm rolled in. Location is ideal to access Mountain Zebra park - we were spotting game in the park 30 mins after leaving the guesthouse. Host was friendly and helpful.

Scenery was just perfect, the bedding was very clean and the breakfast was excellent. The staff and host were friendly and took care of our needs in a welcoming way. I will not think twice recommending them to anyone. If we could have stayed a day or 2 longer we would but we were on our way to Garden Route.
