We could get the oven working (instructions could have been helpful) - but we had tue braai!

It is a bit far from city, you cannot wallk anywhere, need a car. But the calm and relaxation was really good

This lodge was another level. Really amazing experience, sadly we stayed only 2 nights, I would have love stayed longer. The host Zach received us, helped us with the luggages and drove us around in the evening because we didn't want to drive and drink. He was really a nicee host

Beautiful place at the water in the green. We were the only guests that night and had it all to ourselves. The mornings are wonderful for birdwatching. It's very close to Knysna, with wonderful views. It's clean and spacious, with a community kitchen. Perfect for a stay around Knysna.

Amazing property.. very spacious .. had a great view lagoon side ..and the host was very friendly .. provided us with whatever we required.. well equipped property with amazing kitchen and siting areas . Only one issue was there of electricity and WiFi .. WiFi was not good at all

We brought everything for self catering except salt and pepper😀. Would be great to atleast have that for the guests. Back up during load shedding would be appreciated.

The whole lodge needed a little bit of TLC. The cupboard units , shower, etc. were looking a little tired.

Esther was very welcoming and accommodating. She let me come early and was easily contactable. She also explained about load shedding. I was the only guest that night, so I had the whole place to myself. The living area and kitchen were communal, which I hadn't fully appreciated when I first booked. The bedroom was lovely with doors to the veranda, and the views were breathtaking. Both front and back. I didn't go in, but the pool looked very inviting! The housekeeper offered to carry my bags to my car, which I declined, but then Esther kindly asked the gardener to take my case! A very pleasant stop over.

I think the room can get quite hot. I had to open windows and get fresh air in on arrival. But that may have to do with the fact that the house is made of wood.

Everything! Kind reception. Clean kitchen to use. Even the tea towels were clean. That means a lot to me.

while we were given torches for loadshed, it would be good to have some extra powered lighting at night-especially from a security point of view for the Manager as well as the guests

An absolute gem of a property! Our host, Esther was so warm and welcoming, and so was the rest of the staff. The property is right on Knysna River, so the view is great. There's also a large shared kitchen and scullery fully equipped with everything you'd need during your stay. Ample plug points around the house were a plus.
