The compact kitchen is a bit limited if you want to cook more than a simple meal.

Periwinkle cottage is charming. The furnishings are beautiful and the view onto a rose walk is lovely. There's a great private patio, with amazing mountain view, which is a perfect suntrap in winter, ideal for tea or sundowners. The walk-in shower and spacious bathroom are a real treat.

Everything was wonderful. I would say that they are erecting more units which for those who like a bit of privacy need to keep in mind when booking this spot, but I am sure they will do something to ensure a sense of privacy for all their guests.

Michelle contacted me immediately on booking to confirm everything. She also answered all my questions as I asked beforehand, promptly. There was no problem in finding the place, and she was there to open and say farewell based on our time requirements. The spot is comfy, private, and tastefully decorated. Everything we needed for a pleasant stay was available, including rusks🫶. For the ladies, hairdryer available. Fan and heater also available. The fireplace inside was a treat as one night was chilly. Wood was supplied. Great shower. Good ventilation in a single room/house was perfect. Quiet as a little way off from main drag was a positive too! Walking distance but uphill for those who are energetic... perfect. The mountain views kept us drinking coffee on the stoep till 12 one morning and returning by 3 to ensure we can sit and stare at it again. Lovely spot all around. I can recommend it for sure.

The lock of the door wasn’t working smoothly. We did not manage to turn the key, once we were outside and wanted to lock the cottage. Tiny detail that should be taken care of.

Such a cozy place! Perfect space management. Bedroom, cupboard, kitchen with all amenities, even a small lounge fits in that cottage. The towels are so fluffy. It’s located within walking distance to all restaurants.

The hosts were very welcoming, the self catering property is beautiful and has all the utensils needed, a loadshedding backup gas hob as well. It was so relaxing to sit by the beautiful garden with the calming sound of the water fountain right next to the room. Clean linen.

The 2 high back chairs in the cottage are beautiful, but a nice couch would have been more comfortable.

Location is awesome - just on the side of town & close enough to all amenities. Cottage is neat and sufficient with everything you need. Liked the covered parking for the car & the fireplace in the cottage. Wi-fi & smart tv was a bonus.

Would definitely stay here again. Excellent location, literally a minute away from the town. Michelle was a lovely host. The room was fully furnished including firefighters, wood, electric blanket, heater and battery powered lights for loadshedding. Chocolate was provided by bedside.

A really lovely place in a nice setting. Slightly away from town centre so if noisy events it’s perfect but close at same time. Michele was very helpful and accommodating. Everything you need is supplied: wood, basic toiletries, milk, coffee, gas stove when no power. Very clean and comfortable.
