Nothing - we have been there before so we knew what we would get

Really nice accommodation with a fantastic view. Danie and Janni are the most welcoming and helpful hosts. They make you feel instantly at home and will do everything they can to make your stay as relaxing and comfortable as possible – AND they make the most delicious breakfast!! We have stayed at other places in Hout Bay but this is definitely our favorite which is why we now keep coming back.

Delicious breakfast made to order, gorgeous views of Hout Bay (plus three doggies and a cat for company). Felt very homely, safe and secure - we were able to park our hire car within the parking area. Room was clean with a safe, fridge with water re-stocked daily and small balcony area. Great value for money.

The hosts were really friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was delicious. The rooms were clean and comfortable and had lovely views. They also have friendly pets which is a bonus if you like animals. I'd highly recommend.

I would be lying if I said the location was fantastic, it's not, you can't really walk openly around but I never felt unsafe and most people drive everywhere anyway. A baar or drink facilities would be great as an added bonus.

I plan to go back purely for the owners. They were absolutely fantastic and so helpful and accommodating. They made the stay so pleasant for us and were such enjoyable company ( I am including the pets in this also :) ). The decor is stunning and our room was so well positioned with private sun loungers outside our room which was really nice. It was clear there was a real attention to detail. The breakfast was amazing.

Mosquito's which could not be helped.

View from the room of the Harbour and Mountain Range was amazing. We have always stayed in Camps Bay which seems to have become too commercialised, highly recommend This Guest House. Danie and Janni were amazing hosts always full of great advice to get around and see the area. I would recommend hiring a car, as we didn't, and used the Sightseeing buses which were just down the road, but like everywhere it is not advisable to walk around at night, and Uber was a hit or miss as some rides were so cheap they didn't turn up. The hosts kindly dropped us off and also picked us up from various places as they drove by. The have friends in the area that do Pickup and Drop off which we used from the airport. Mark the the driver was great and very knowledgeable of the area and Restaurants. Breakfast was Fantastic, Highly recommend the Fruit bowl which was so full of flavours, and also the cooked breakfast along with the fresh bread. One thing to remember is your Mosquito Sprays/Plugs as Me and my Wife did get bitten, We never had issues before in South Africa with them, and speaking to people on a wine tasting tour from around South Africa they mentioned it has only started over the last few years. We were gutted to leave and will definitely be back staying at this Guest House

Parking is a little tricky, but it works.

The hosts and staff were excellent, and we're always there to help when necessary. The breakfasts were top class. We had a very enjoyable stay. The location is ideal for travelling around Cape Town. The hosts have taken on board solar energy, which is very important with the power shedding in South Africa 🇿🇦 Our room was a little small, but all other rooms are large, 8and all rooms are tastefully decorated

I love dogs but if you’re not a fan then this isn’t the place for you . the owners dogs however where beautiful , well behaved, calm dogs

Donnie and Jannie were excellent hosts, very accommodating and full of ideas and advice. The property was immaculate, comfortable bed, lovely view over Hout Bay. The breakfasts were something else, absolutely delicious, best we’ve had in SA by far. Highly recommend!

We had an amazing stay at the Poseidon guesthouse. Janni took the extra step in hospitality. He anticipated on our needs before we knew we had them. The room was wonderful, and garden has a beautiful view over de harbor. The breakfast was the best we had in Cape Town, everything was tailor made and fresh. I would go back next week if I could.
