We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.

South AfricaThe staff at reception can really be more friendly. The bathrooms in the hotel rooms are a bit dated and for a four-star hotel; the breakfast spread is a bit basic. We also felt the waitresses were very slow to serve and not very interested in their jobs.
The hotel foyer and restaurant areas are beautiful and impressive.

South Africa- the aircon was very weak especially for a humid Cape Town's evening - the shower diverter valve had to be handled quite hard in order to work - room service took about 50 minutes when we were told 20 minutes
It was exceptionally clean, and the staff were friendly and helpful at all times. Although we've stayed in lodges and B&B's in the past, this was my daughter and her mom's first ever hotel stay and breakfast room experience - I'm happy that it was a good experience for them both.

Although this hotel is an older hotel, it is still on an excellent standard. Lucinda who checked us in was amazing, friendly and very professional. We as a family enjoyed our stay, the staff was friendly and very helpful. Jill the host at breakfast welcomed us at breakfast with a beautiful smile. The breakfast was also enjoyable every morning. It was clean and everything we needed was provided. We also had a room with a beautiful view.

IrelandThis is a large busy hotel located in a central location. We were a family group with three rooms, all of which were clean and comfortable. On arrival at the hotel, we were checked in quickly and efficiently and were offered sweets from a complimentary sweet bar adjacent to the Reception Desks. Our bags were delivered to our rooms by a very pleasant friendly gentleman. The rooms were quite large and had complimentary bottles of water in the fridge along with little packets of sweets. The bathroom was clean and had toiletries provided. The safe provided was great, extra large to handle laptops etc. The lifts had glass fronts and operated quickly. The lobby area was lovely. We had breakfast each morning and this was varied and tasty. We had dinner at the buffet a couple of nights although there is also a restaurant at the bar area in the lobby. We travelled to the Victoria Waterfront a couple of nights via Uber and this was convenient as there is an area immediately in front of the hotel to facilitate pickups and set downs. The staff were all very pleasant and helpful. All in all, we really enjoyed our stay at the Southern Sun Cape Sun.
